    New subscriber. Howdy from S.C. I like your teaching style. You relay information instead of throwing it. After checking your channel I seem to have a lot of catching up to do. I’m new to the sport or hobby. Thanks for the videos.

    Really enjoyed this video - actually, enjoy all of your videos - but it was great that you went through the facts not the fluff of tuning this gun. Thanks Rick and Pyramid Air for the educational enjoyment. As you said somewhere else, these Air Venturi guns are pretty awesome and show where PCP airguns have come over the last decade.

    Thank you. I have the same gun in .25 cal. coming today. I hope to use your principles to achieve similar results. Keep the videos coming.

    Great video! Thanks for the great information.
    I have a regular Avenger .22
    I tuned mine just about the same as you did. Reg around 2100 psi. Velocity around 910 fps.
    It is a friggin tack driver that hits like a hammer!
    I use the 18gr pellets as well. It doesn't seem to matter which ones, (JSB, H&N, JTS) they all shoot about the same. I'm running the JTS right now. It takes out rabbits out to 75 yards no problem, as long as the wind isn't too crazy.
    Love this gun!

      Did you leave the factory hammer spring adjustment? Or did you adjust? If so.... what's your adjustment you Are running? Thanks

      @christianjones4691 hey there. The whole process is in the video. Yes I did adjust the hammer spring. Again, the whole adjustment process is in the video.

    . I have my Avenger bullpup set at 1900 psi getting 905 fps with 15.9gr FX atomics. They gave me the best accuracy. I tried 8 different pellets and weights to get most accurate one. I havent checked my shot count but I know I am getting alot.

    My Avenger is 1800 PSI & about +2.5 turns IN on the Hammer from all the way out,... 850fps with 18.13 Grain in .22 & the 14,3 Grain .22 is running about 930fps & both offer great accuracy :)

    I get a lot of fills between my 6.8 and 3 ltr tanks cascading them with these guns. The air cylinders on the Avenger aren’t that big and quick to fill to. Great gun for the money. Very accurate!

    Great video I have one question how many turns out from fully tight would be a beginning point on the hammer spring or dead loose you said 11 half turns from all the way out to all the way in so I'm guessing about 5 to 6 full turns is all there is ether way

    When watching the cross hairs it looks like its jumping around by at least a half inch right before you shoot. With your eye are you seeing the crosshairs dead still when you shoot? My shooting is bad enough and if I saw that much bouncing around I could imagine how bad my groups would be.

    Have to tell ya, I have an avenger in .177. Pretty much did all I could do with the rifle. Trying all the different weight pellets and the rifle is still a lemon.
    Any advise on the .177 besides getting a .22 or .25 instead lol. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try a .22 airacuda and throw this avenger in the dump.

    Any mods to eliminate trigger creap? The avenger has a way but i need a mod for bullpup please

  • @WalnutandSteel
    @WalnutandSteel ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Rick, how is the trigger on the bullpup? I just got the standard avenger and the stock trigger wasn't terrible but was a little creepy and just over 3 lbs. I did a mod for the trigger and it is running consistently at 12 ozs. I did a video on the process. I don't know if that procedure would apply to the bullpup thanks

      Did you ever find out the answer to this?

      nope

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there. Trigger is good for me. 1 to 2 pounds. It’s the same mechanics with a linkage to connect the front to the rear. More than likely whatever you did for the standard should work fine for the bullpup.

    Do you know if its possible to adjust the gun for 17, 17,5 ftp (23/24 joules) muzzle energy? In my country I can’t have more power than that without a license. Ty

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can certainly turn down the power to that level, but it can also go way up. You may need to have it locked to that power level vs adjustable. How does it work where you live??
      Cheers

      @@AirGunWeb for free buy airguns law says the muzzle energy must be under 24 joules and caliber can’t be higher than 5.5 mm and ofcourse the buyer must be at least 18 years old. The problem is the only only site selling the avenge x in Europe only sell factory specs guns the buyer must be aware of their own country laws. To get an airgun above 24 joules I have to go to the police and apply for a license and that is a pain in the…I rather not do that 😂

    It would have been a good idea to begin by first describing the process, do a few shots showing one cycle and then just FF with explanation. Could have done it in about 10 minutes
