Great video Steve! I really enjoyed this. It seems like the randomness of the droplets from the water bottle really helps to make the randomness in the clouds believable. You are doing great! I hope you continue to make more videos with techniques like this.
Yes, after 35 years of watercolor painting, and teaching decided to do these TH-cam videos to a larger audience, check out my technique on trees. mod podge and rocks. Have fun.
35 years doing water color that’s what I’m trying to do. Teach my techniques to a larger audience rather than just students. Check out my rock technique, tree techniques and mod podge techniques. Have fun.
Awesome So helpful I struggle with clouds lifting out with cerulean does not work too well as is staining but manganese is great Looking forward to more videos Keep em coming 🎉
I stumble on your channel, and I love the technique of your clouds! Wow, you just started, and you already have more than a thousand subscribers! I would like to see the rocks technique, too! New subscriber!!! Keep going, and don't stop!!! What paints, paper, and brushes are you using????👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
As for art supplies, I buy most of mine from cheap Joe’s Art supply. I’m starting to use hot press paper more because the water doesn’t absorb in as quickly try Arches hot press, or Fabriano hot press. All my water color paint is from cheap Joe’s. It’s called American journey. Have fun.
Thank you for sharing your video. Very helpful, such as having droplets from the spray bottle, not mist. I immediately subscribed you. Could I ask you a question? I have been painting a sky using tissues to block out the white clouds, with bad results. Could you show us how to do it in your future video?
What beautiful clouds & a fantastic technique for cirrocumulus clouds in particular!

I never could get good results using a tissue to blot out a white cloud sorry
@@stevekruegerwatercolor No worry, I like the way you create clouds.
The blue of the sky is off.
Interesting but not very good. ~
