My take on why Malenia can be roted: She still fights the Scarlet Rot - She didn't give gave up (or in) If you look at the enemies, which are immune to SR, you will find, that there are only 2 types of them, which are immune: 1 - who embraces the Scarlet Rot - Romina only, who basically became sort of an Avatar of the SR Outer God 2 - enemies, which are made of stone, or illusion - Black Blade Kindred or Mohg, the Omen in the sewers Most of the 2nd type is also immune to all status effects (except of Golden Ghost Godfrey, who can sleep for some reason...) You even can rot Ekzykes, who has a more dangerous rot attack than Malenia Also a question: why not using Rotten Breath? Or the Hefty Rot Pot? Those have the highest rot build up with the greatest rot damage. And why use the colossal rot axe and hammer? Those have sadly low build up with good weapon damage and stance brake potential, thus you will kill most stuff before a rot proc Also as far as I can remember, you can put Rot Grease on the Antspur rapier
That's a good way to put it! I personally prefer to use weapons over spells/incants/etc. but expect me to use incants and stuff for the bleed challenge. Appreciate the comment, and hope to see you around :)

I love Rot, I just really wish they gave it a scaling so that we could proc it faster
Yeah that would be neat!
