I watched BBT with my parents during the 1st couple of seasons when I'd come home from college. I didn't really continue watching the show by myself but my parents used to talk about it all the time. I think many in that generation, including my parents, genuinely found it to be funny. They also used the show as a way to relate to their slightly nerdy son.
Back when I was living with my parents and went to church it was so funny, the middle aged people in the congregation who watched it acted like they understood my generation perfectly, like Big Bang Theory was some sort of Rosetta Stone for millenials

I always enjoy these but I do also really love HIMYM. I think I enjoy it because I watched a lot of it when I was younger but also just as something that passes time. As well as having decent memories of just enjoying watching it with someone
I watched the bigbang theory , its basicly just the tv equivalent of leftover take away. You but it on in the background or you have it on while chatting with the parents ,the jokes are shallow enough that you don't really need to be paying attention to get them while zoning in and out from a converstation all the while you kinda get to know the characters a little and see them grow and become less shity people , while on the last episodes you kinda just see the main character finally understand the world and the value of what everyones done for him and since its been around for frickin ages , its just kinda neat to see . To summarise you see it in the fridge, you know there's plenty of stuff better for you ,but it's vaguely tasty ,convenient and easy so you eat it anyway . p.s I also found 'How I met your mother' kinda neat too ^___^
agreed if you watch the big bang theory as a character piece on mental disorders instead of a geek sitcom like all the haters do its actually pretty decent and has a satisfying conclusion

I was a big fan of Big Bang Theory's first 4-5 seasons or so. My dad and I watched it often. I absolutely love HIMYM, and I've watched 2 1/2 Men for as long as I remember

Interesting that Pyrion and Sips go on and on about how great Frasier/Seinfeld is, and then turn around and parrot their hate for HIMYM/TBBT. They are on the exact same level of humour and intellect. Just made for different generations.
Ive watched every season of BBT multiple times and only watch it as I go to sleep instead of a different series so I don't fall asleep half way thought an episode and forget were I was, its the only reason why I watch it.

Note that Manscaped ships from Britain. That means packages take 3 weeks to reach Europe as they're held up by customs and you will have to pay 20% VAT import taxes. Also Manscaped takes a week to reply to enquiries. So while their products and their advertising may be great, their service sucks big time.
the way i look at big bang is the way i look at a packet of chips (or crisps) like its isn't the healthiest or tastiest BUT it sure as hell is the easiest. Like big bang may not be a master piece but its very easy watching mainly as background noise.
Flax talking about tv shows reminds me of the new show Debris, it has a main story arc but it's quite slow, every episode is totally unique, classic "monster of the week" style. Reminds me ever so slightly of x files

My wife and I have watched Big bang theory and How I met your mother, Is just simple non-offensive American comedy, has funny moments. I think DOTA sucks balls, but P-Flax has made a living from it.
i dont hope we get out to see people more often. i hope we instead value that time when we do get out to see people more. its important to see people in person and there is a difference between zoom and seeing people in person. but the balance is the thing i hope we place ALOT of importance on. and I hope are all able to realise that the balance is different for every individual person.

I'm a Big Bang fan but I also 100% understand pyrions point of view. Until this year I never liked it and I thought the characters too similar and just annoyed me. but it's a bit like Frasier or Seinfeld, once you start to like the characters the show becomes funnier, and after the first few seasons they added more female characters which I thought were funnier than the guys.
Big bang theory isn't a show I look forward to necessarily but I don't understand the flak it gets. It's funny enough that I wouldn't be bothered to change it if it were on TV whereas Schitts Creek I just can't find funny. Things I do like are Seinfeld/Curb, the Office and it's always sunny. Really enjoyed Mythic Quest tbh.
