How the heart can change our perception of time

Two new studies have found that our heartbeat contributes to feeling like passing moments fly or drag. Experiments reported in "Current Biology" discovered that our perception of time passage expands and contracts within each heartbeat. Irena Arslanova, lead author of one of the studies and postdoctoral researcher at the University of London, joins CBS News to break down the findings.

I as taking over a roll in an old Broadway musical, and watched each night after a days rehearsal. One week later I was on for the first performance, and the romantic duet seemed to be much slower to me as to what i heard the week before.
Nope . listened to it afterwards - same tempo. In performance mode, I had more time to concentrate and react to anything that happened.

Time is not influenced by the heart!!!! It is the other way around!!!! When the mind is 'moving' faster, the brain needs more oxygen/second and the heart has to increase its rate...I will read the study...maybe I am wrong...
