- In this video I am breaking down the problem with trucking simulators on Console and asking the question, Why trucking Simulators on Console cannot seem to get it right?

Euro Truck Simulator 1 was one of my first games, I remember playing it without knowing what I was doing. Then after a few years I got ETS2 and then I started loving simulators in general, mostly driving ones. ETS2 and 1 hold a special place in my heart when it comes to gaming in general.
ETS2 is the gold standard for driving simulators for me... I have loved it since i bought it back in 2017 but at the time i didn't have my wheel setup.. that takes it to the next level

one thing worth mentioning is how shit the "running a trucking company" part of ETS2 and ATS is. at least compared to their older games
the 18 wheels of steel series did that much better.
i believe it was 18 wheels of steel pedal to the metal. where you could actually see your hired drivers out on the road.
in 18 wheels of steel haulin, instead of buying a garage with 5 parking spots. you could buy large buildings that could hold 10's of trucks, you could buy parking lots, where trucks would actually show up if you had them stored there.
signing contracts with the in game companies that your hired drivers can finish, netting you more money if your company is able to complete the multi delivery contract within the given time frame.
and of course the missing CB radio. it never served a function in 18 wheels of steel other then to warn about police, or ask about the weather.
with ETS2 and ATS now having diversions, and accidents causing traffic jams. the CB radio from the old games would make perfect sense.
@@LodewijkVrije I never knew the CB radio played a part outside of multiplayer.. that would be great if they brought it back
How big was that game tho like how big was the map
Yes ats and et2 isn't a 1 to 1 to but it's has close has it's gets to being there
I'm an irl trucker in Eastern Canada and I'm not an on the road trucker because I just can't afford to be in my area it's just not great money but I'd still like to know how trucking in Europe or in the western US is that's what ats and et2 has over the other trucking game and with mods you can make it pretty realistic
Is it perfect no far from it and with how modding is if you find something you don't like you can easily find a mod to change it or make a mod to improve it
Plus ats and et2 can be played on Xbox too for free has long has you own the games on steam
Fully agree with everything you've said. The developers and publishers need learn from how SCS have done wonders with ETS2 and ATS. The other trucking sim games, be it on PC or console, just fail in my opinion.

@@GamingHive79 They all feel rushed out and the devs or publishers seem to give up on them and move on. I can remember when ETS2 first came out, the AI was dreadful to name just 1 thing, but SCS stuck with it and made it what it is today.
Scs has over 300 employees now. They are not small anymore. The latest 1.50 update showed that they dont care as much as some think about the game ... as the latest update ruined the performance for many of us. We understand that they wanna get the game to console coz there are a lot of $ to be made ...but dont do that by ruining the experience for pc players. Both ats and ets2 are kept alive by modders at this point ... in my view.
@@c.a.design8390 I’ll be honest I am still running 1.49 as I use Promods and don’t think they’ve caught up yet…
The modding community is huge for the truck sim series but SCS Software are still working on the games…
I don’t think they will port the game to console as it would mean a complete rebuild…

@@GamingHive79 On 1.49 my main profile has over 550 mods and its super smooth. On 1.50 with a brand new profile with zero mods it stutters like hell !. Yea they work on the game but if u ask me they should concentrate their work on what the community wants. Even with their AA implementation ... is poor compared to snowy. I am not a hater .. i do love the games. I own seven wheels ... so for sure i invested into the trucking universe ... i just wish they listened more to the community and actually improve the game for us. Maps are nice ... but hardware changed over the years and they struggle to keep up.

Ruined as you are getting stutter issues or ruined as in you run a decade+ old potato and think a game company should pander to you for not upgrading your gear to something more recent. If the former then that sucks and I hope they fix whatever is causing you and others issues. If the latter then go pound sand because the world is not supposed to constantly pander to the minority at the expense of everyone else, and potato PC users are the minority here. It's about time SCS started to rip the band-aid off and started making the game more for current hardware. The 1.50 update was a breath of fresh air.

Actually, having watched this now a few times, I am inclined to agree. I would love ETS2 and ATS on console. I don’t think it’ll happen. Especially with the rumoured NVIDIA GFN app coming to Xbox.
Us console gamers have had it bad, but Alaskan Road Truckers is very much where it is. You’re right that it scratches the itch.
I’m hoping they add to the game with new features such as employees in the future.
I'm not digging out Alaskan... I actually enjoy it but feel they could do better.. all just opinions.. cheers for watching buddy
The problem is new developers don’t do research on trucking. They just do it. Without doing research on truck driving. and the other issue is I think Alaskan road truckers is now abandoned because we haven’t seen a single update for a couple weeks.

@@bluephoenix3865 it’s not an official sequel.. it’s been developed by Road Studio called Road Truckers 2..
Hi there! I'm a TruckersMP Dev and SCS are working on a console version! This is known as in many of their live streams, they've teased that the console version is in the works! My guess is that more information will come out after the new engine which was supposed to be released in 1.50 however, was delayed due to it not being ready. Fingers crossed it all goes well.

I quit gaming, my TH-cam channel and selling my ps5 and driving wheel I just got because there isn't a single game I can enjoy with it and don't feel like spending thousands more for a PC. Getting my money back! And you watch the minute I do is the day an ATS or ETS type game will come to consoles that is playable. Idc its not worth my time, money, effort, and getting my hopes up for something that'll never come.
Truck and logistics simulator is practically ats or ets. Just not as good grafix or a big map. But it's coming along nicely.

All I ask is native VR not betas, full compatibility with the buttons on my steering wheel to navigate the menus and stop using mouse and keyboard, is all I ask for.
SCS Software is actually working on trying to get ATS and ETS2 to port over to consoles! They are also working on getting a new engine for the game so it can then be ported over to console!
They already updated their engine (Prism3D) with the 1.5 update.
@@bradleyp33 I really hope that’s true.. I am yet to see an official SCS Software announcement about it so if you have anywhere I can look then let me know 👍
They just said there is a possibility of porting it after the engine upgrade in on of their streams. It seems they are tip toeing around flat out saying "yes we are gonna do it.or no we aren't" idk they can't just make a decision

You forgot snowrunner i my doubt the best and its the only game that lets you use shifter manual gears and ebrake on console they need to look at the devs from there of Alaskan road truckers can port over the same controls i only use wheel in sim games no point having a driving game without wheel support
I one 100% did forget Snowrrunner... It's not a game I have ever been able to get into but yes there is a lot of love for that game.. well said thank you
I agree 100 %,i have tried all this game on console,and no way no way for this game to challenge whit Ets2 and Ats!i am playing on this day,from a one year no play it ets2!And omg is an others planet Ets2 and Ats!Just no WAY for console user! I am too!😂😂😂😂

love this look at farming sim every time a new game for a little bit more things im now thinking not to buy farming sim 25
ets2 is outdated since long. Time has shown updates cannot fix the problems, or they just dont want to. A whole new game, improved from the ground up would be much better.
Yes I am not an ets2 player. Because its as little immersion bringing as hundreds of androind truck sims. They only make their easy money from selling small dlc.

I have ETS 2 and ATS 2 either but since i brought those game i have never stream live for once i use i7 pc and intel graphics HD 4600 cant i go livr with this PC? Again all i got when try to just have fun driving it on steam itself all i got is crashing i bought this game but when i drive the DOME i love the game but when i buy i got different program of it this is what got me mad like they change their features or something yet crashing crashing this is all i got i have write them many time they just ask bring ur game log and crash log but again no reply maybe i have to sue them

Truck sims on consoles are all trash. Even mobile sims like truckers of Europe 3 shit on all of them. physics wise/graphics/sounds/content.
Idk how two people who made a game for mobile can do better than whole ass AAA Studios with bigger budgets and wayyy better hardware
Thumbs down because the information in the video about ETS2 & ATS is from last year and because you lack any interest in what SCS had done & announced in the past 3 months (you lack the skill to self inform). ETS2 & ATS will most likely receive their SPY Station/Box copies in a total of 2 to 4 future updates time, due to the game engine change and the required agistments it needs.
