    One of the better mold videos I've seen. I've been doing silicone molds for a few yrs now. Even make silicone molds for pouring my lead jigs. Figured out how to do the soft plastic for the Berkeley flat worm max scent technology. Sodium polyacrylate + polyvinyl acetate + ethylene vinyl acetate. Use a smaller mold to get the size bait you want.

      I appreciate the compliment. Funny you should mention using them for lead. I’ve been wanting to do that and have a video planned soon. I’ve also been working on a cheat for a 2 part mold.

      I've been wanting to do a TH-cam channel for awhile about all the cheats I've learned over the yrs. Just haven't found the time. Love watching videos like this. I can always find something I can use or figure out a easier method. I started by curing salmon eggs about 12yrs ago and haven't stopped yet lol. I think at this point I have more lure making material then my wife has crafting material 🤣🤣🤣 keep pumping out videos and keep the comments section rolling. Feeds the algorithm lol

      I told my wife “you’re welcome “ for all the Micheals coupons she gets from me buying lure making supplies there.

      And if you want to do a TH-cam channel an iPhone and PowerDirector is what I use mostly.

      Thanks for the advice. I've definitely researched starting it lol. 6 kids and a fishing addiction has killed anytime I've had. Now tournaments are starting i know my calendar is full till fall lol. Then salmon and steelhead start running 🤣🤣🤣

      Once you start you can’t stop. I’m getting into the airbrushing side of it now. Look for those vids coming soon.

    What is the stuff called that you poured over the lures and where do you get it? What did you make the sides of the mold on top of the tile. Thanks for sharing. They look great! Nice color combo.

    You could have made as many cavities as you wanted to with a little more patience. The same way you copied the three good lures; you then make a mastermold of those three with even something as simple as Bondo fiberglass resin. Rinse and repeat until you have as many HARD perfect copies to use as your Masters to whatever quantity you want. Then use those Masters to make a mold with as many cavities as you want you could go as high as 10 if you really wanted to.

      Right now I’m using old window blinds and popsicle sticks. You can use anything flat really. The silicone doesn’t stick to anything.

    It’s way cheaper to just buy bulk from manufacture I promise. Unless you value your labor at 2$ an hour

      Is it? Out of a pack of 8 only three are usuable, plus custom colors this way

    On the one that didn't bond run the heat gun to it and it should get them together

      I was actually able to peel the whole thing apart. I’ve got all the stuff to make a heated sand bed to keep my Plastisol hot while I pour. That’s actually going to be a video on building that. Just gotta squeeze it in between life and other videos. Thanks for watching!

    Your process seems a little inefficient, and a bit wasteful. Instead of using epoxy on a tile, you can just put some staples through some cardboard you have laying around as holding posts for the soft bait. Then mix a little dish soap and water and spray it on to keep the silicone from sticking. Now you don't need epoxy, tile,and unnecessary waste of time.

      So use cardboard and staples to make the base and walls and then spray soap and water on the base then pour your silicone? Just making sure because I'd like to try this

    • @dylwaugh
      @dylwaugh 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      the back of the3 bait needs to be perfectly flat to the base, or the silicone will flow between and mess it up. the staples wont hold it down perfectly. it sucks that he put the time and effort into this video to help us for free, and idiots like you coem with your ill informed opinions, Just shut up
