I have met Brotherji and did see him often live with lectures. I maybe did talk not more than 20 words to him during decades but I did communicate with him in silence. Om Shanti - a great soul who is still present.
I knew him,& my Mother knew him also since 1973. my wife was in contact with him till his last days. He was gentle & humble in person, very wise. He started a young adult group in often attended in Encinitas ( I was young then lol) I have pictures I took of him at Cardiff park & little notes he wrote to my mom. My wife has a lot of letters from him. When we moved to Germany he rode with us in my little VW . He is very advanced ofcourse & w Master . Changed my life. Kriya + Devotion works like mathematics!
I love my Gurudev and SRF/ YSS for always showering pearls of wisdom on me. Listening to Br Anandamoy Ji ALWAYS lifts my spirit to a higher realm. Heartfelt THANKS. Jai Guru!!
As much as I love and truly appreciate many of the other monks and nuns, I still come back to Brother Anandamoy's talks as I guess these talks are what I need to have imprinted on my consciousness. A positive, spiritualized consciousness. I will share something that happened to me early on.....I was attracted to SRF and went to a talk that was held at a Catholic Stations of the Cross in Portland, Oregon. I think it was in the early 80s. Some SRF monks were going to be there and I was drawn to go. After the service, I found myself standing in front of a monk, I didn't know who he was or anything about SRF but I had read the Autobiography of a Yogi and something inside me was awakened. As I stood in front of this monk, my experience was like standing in front of a mirror and this mirror was showing me exactly what I was doing in my life and yet, it was also compassionate, not judgmental at all but......I was clearly seeing my Self and what I was doing. (and I needed serious help for sure). I never forgot that experience. I came onto this Path, as I was searching for "something" and it was God calling me. Later, years later, at a Convocation, in the patio area outside, we used to meet with the monks and nuns. A "meet and greet" before Convo started. I saw Brother Anandamoy outside and he was out there but the throngs were massive and people had formed a long, winding line and would follow him at each and every turn. I felt he was uncomfortable with all the adulation he received (as he was actually quite humble) but as each person would alternately stand in front of him, they would pronam and move on after perhaps saying a few words. When it came my turn to stand in front of him, I experienced this same Mirror effect. Silence was between us, he never said anything but just looked at me. I was in such awe spiritually that I could not speak and again, I experienced the Mirror. I instantly felt just surrender my ego even though I might still be making mistakes in my life. This was my only response, to just surrender. I never knew anyone else might be feeling anything remotely like this. I never told anyone. The only reason I began to realize that others might also be experiencing something like this was that the person I was with told me later that he realized - (by standing in front of Brother Anandamoy) - that he was not doing the things he needed to be doing as a man. (this was true, because I knew what he was referring to). What I realized later, years later, gratefully - and Master helped me to know this, as a kindness - was that HE was the monk I had first encountered before I officially came onto the Path. No one else had an effect on me like this. God expresses Himself uniquely thru each one of us (if we allow Him) and Brother for me was a perfect channel for God. There was no ego, he was a clear channel which acted like a divine Mirror - this is how he could do this, enabling one to see their true Self and what it was that you need to become aware of. This was my experience with Brother Anandamoy. God bless him, I revere his memory to this day and I am so happy and I feel truly honored and blessed that he was my first experience of meeting anyone in SRF. Twice I got this experience. God had a Plan, even then, for my life and saved me from numerous dire circumstances. Some were even dangerous. Master saved my life many times. Thank you. Jai Guru.
The timeliness of this talk is perfect in these days we live. Swamiji has the incredible Presence, Attunement with Master to immediately lift our consciousness to a higher level the moment He speaks. The wisdom and acute exactness that flows from Master through Him to us is nothing less than transcendental. Such a perfect talk, coaching us to develop our Dynamic Will…..Jai Guru Jai Ma
