I think I might know why, based off of my previous attempts at running mods for Quake. It's because in comparison, running Doom mods is like game journalist difficulty while tying to run Quake mods is like playing a casual game of Minecraft while being *_set on fucking fire!_* ALL THAT LOADED WAS THE SOURCEPORT ITSELF WITH DOOM YOU JUST DRAG AND CLICK I'VE PLAYED FLASH GAMES MADE FOR CHILDREN MORE DIFFICULT THAN MODDING DOOM

HOLY SHIT, I've just found this mod showcase today and I'm beyond surprised that this exists, can't wait to try this out with a friend also do you plan on making a video regarding how to download the mod and/or play multiplayer?
The mod is available for download on Slipseer with a link in this video's description. The download itself comes with readme instructions on how to set it up and play. That said, an instruction video wouldn't hurt to have for those folks who are new to playing Quake mods. There's a new update about to come out some time this week or next with another new champion and support for another expansion pack!
@@BlueKeyGames swag dude, please keep up the good work i've always liked the idea of a concept like this ported onto the OG Quake also mind if i share an idea regarding a champion request, perhaps if possible would a TF2 candidate be a fair addition into the roster, considering that Team Fortress takes roots from Quake, i'm thinking namely between Scout, Soldier, or Heavy, but frankly the choice is up to you
@@ignitedradium1624 I'd probably use a Team Fortress Classic character and give them a TF2 skin, but that's definitely a good idea for a game to represent, and shouldn't be too difficult to adapt to the Champions style gameplay.

While I agree it'd be cool, it would have been out of scope for the mod's intentions, a bit too imbalancing in his favor if it were a passive ability, and also becomes a bit of a moot point with the Fast Fire Totem active ability.
Only insofar as it's a "demake" of the same Quake game. Beyond that, both mods are fairly different in their aims and execution and offer different experiences.
No option to disable gore, sorry. That's more of a Quake thing in general. Also rag dolls are an unfortunate no as well, due to once again it being a Quake mod and not its own engine.

Yes! Most projectiles could be deflected by the sickles in Dusk.
