    why is everyone using weak leds? Surely a 100w led chip would work miles better.

      They're pussies. 100watts led consume more amps.

      Ryuuken24 it's only like 3-4 if you're running it at 30v it's not that hard to find a PSU that can supply the power

      100W led does not work either. Because the light angle is wrong.

    For focusing light, it is very important to use a magnifying glass or two. Try one here: www.kaidomain.com/p/S020955.33_5mm-Optical-Glass-LED-Lamp-Lens-1pc

    does thelight side stay cool ?

    • @diygeek8482
      @diygeek8482  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If u r going to use 10 watt to 30 watt LED with good heat sink then the LED stay cool because of excellent of ventilation design of Projector. But if u are going to use 50 watt to 100 watt led then u need big heatsink with fan which need to be fit in the Lamp compartment.

    • @PackardBelltoll
      @PackardBelltoll 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      right but the side where the light shines is that cool to touch right . But the heatsink side is the hot side I know . But does the side where the light is outputing does it get hot ?

    • @diygeek8482
      @diygeek8482  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes its get hot, but not to worry bcoz the window glass is too thick from where the light is reflecting inside the led. So, go on.....:)

      Hi. I know my reply is way but it might help someone still looking for solution. Find the set of wires (thin coloured wires) coming to mainboard from ballast (or power supply board integrated with ballast circuit) > then disconnect this set of wires from mainboard > then one by one, earth the connection (take a thin wire, attach one side to a screw on the mainboard and touch each coloured wire by the other end) and try to power it one. Good luck
