    I was working from a bike ramp in my garage at home, but it took up so much space, so I brought on of these, with the wheel spoons & all the bits, now I have plenty of room & no regrets plus its a stable working platform when its set up right.

    thanks bud , thats a great idea using the wheel chock , what a lot of these complainers forget / dont realise is there are a lot more different mounts for different style bikes , i just bought a big blue 2nd hand mainly for my can am spyder but now realise that though a bit of stuffing around setting up will be good for my other bikes , a combination of this and a table is the ideal way to go and both will last a life time .. due to cost would not have bought this except for buying the spyder but now know i would have missed out on a good bit of gear

    So you are lifting in footpegs and exhaust system, that is 2 big no goes. take a look at the Abba Skylift to see how it should be done when you want at stabil lift where you can take the wheels off the bike

    Jesters600. You don`t have to explain anything to these jokers. THEY ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWERS. This is one of the best lifts I`v seen. That`s why I`m on images. Mine is almost the same as yours. But maybe a little simpler. Plus the cost. I`v contacted Harbor Freight. Don`t think their interested. May do myself. You don`t have 45,000 views for nothing. Must be good. I still don`t know the price, and the cost per unit to make. Thanks.

      Everyone is complaining about set-up time, BUT what about repair ease.? Just goofs!

    A lot of work just to lift ONE bike. Sure hope you don't have 2 bikes

    Now I just néed to remove my headers. Or. Rear sets ... Oh wait let me undo the 50 nuts to release it all again.. And you have to remove all the fairings off any sports bike just to jack it up... I suggest you go back to the drawing board

    i see the footpeg attachment but where's the triangulation? aren't you missing a forward support component?

    • @jesters600
      @jesters600  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      The forward support is the first thing that is shown getting fitted in the video.

      jesters600 a flat rubber-coated piece of metal that lifts via exhaust header?

    • @Panchdara
      @Panchdara 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And it's useless as it interferes with my TBSport headers.

      Yeah it seems like a rip off product. I hope you got your money back.

      Well, I did use a small block of wood to make the clearance and support the front of the sump. I'll eventually cut the "ears" off the front support. However, compared to my lift, this tool is really not well designed. I am now figuring how to attach 4 wheels so it can be moved about the workshop. Also, when not in use the stand is most awkward to store. So, overall, it works, but takes way too long to set up and is not very friendly at all. (This in no way diminishes my sincerest respect to Nick and all at Jesters)

    You don't have to go through all this CRAP with a table lift!! Just line it up with the wheel chock and ride it on to the lift!!!! Sure it's more expensive, but it's so much easier. You can do almost anything on a table lift!!

    • @jesters600
      @jesters600  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Larry Magee you only need to line up the fittings once, second time they are set you just loosen the main middle clamp and slide it on. I have a lift as well and loading time is the same... push it on, clamp the front wheel add a paddock stand to the rear and then how do you remove the wheels? 100% better for removing Wheels, forks, yoke and swing arm using this. Simple tasks the bench will work but when you try one of these there is no going back.

      You get your scissor jack, jack up the rear of the bike, and take the wheel off. Then you lower the jack, slide the wheel in place, and run the axle through. Simple! Or don't you have a scissor jack to go along with your lift?

    That seems like an awful lot of faffing to me. Good platform but you need a quicker way to load a bike.

  • @stewartmackay539
    @stewartmackay539 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    All that faffing about to lift a bike. There are quicker lifts out there. For the price I would expect something a little more time efficient.

      Stewart Mackay you only set the brackets once, then just the two nuts on the bottom rail next time. ( bracket is slotted so can just twist out to remove and the peg mount in set position)
