Update: the lime punch is dissipating, can start to see some resemblance to Mont Blanc Explorer, a soft woody citrusy drydown. I think I prefer the opening.
I tried this today in store and all I could pick up was a cleaning product smell. My wife wouldn’t even do a dry down check as she hated it throughout. She loves Eros Flame, so hopes were higher for this follow on flanker.
People may say it's fresh and great for the line, but everyone also says it smells nothing like Eros. Doesn't really seem like a flanker but instead using the Eros brand to help sell it when it should have been it's own line
Good point. I think Dior have done the same with the new Dior Sauvage Eau Forte; using a successful brand name to help sell something quite different from the original line DNA.
True. If the name was more accurate to the notes, I would have called this Pour Homme EDP, but since Eros is more popular it definitely seems like that's why they made it a flanker of that.
versace needs more flankers for their hits such as dylan blue pour homme and man. By looking the notes I assumed it would be similar to aventus cologne

Update! I had previously commented that I tried 1 spray of Energy, got lots of citrus, but no Aventus vibes. Well I can confirm that there is indeed Creed Aventus in the dry down. I put 3 heavy sprays on my skin today at Macy's, yep the Aventus shows up around the 1-2 hr mark. Came home and compared it to my CDNIM limited edition and it is definitely similar but on the lighter side. 👍🤔
I just ordered some yesterday after I got your email that it was finally in stock, should get it next week, I'm pretty anxious, been waiting for this one.
Another nice review! I get a blend of Bohemian Lime and Explorer (more so than Aventus) from it, and I'm actually glad they didn't go with the Eros DNA on this one because the other 4 all smell the same in the dry down to me. I'm a citrus lover, so I love the opening. Strong lemon/lime can come across as a cleaning product to some, but it doesn't for me. Performance is pretty good on it too, although not as long as Perseus- which is still my favorite summer release this year.
I just tried it yesterday at Dillard's, it's basically a clean citrus fragrance 🍋. It smells good but nothing mind blowing, similar to Aqua Di Gio/Terre d Hermes or any other Citrus heavy frag. Versace definitely took Eros in a different direction but there are so many citrus frags out there with similar profiles, IMO it really doesn't stand out.
So I'm reading some of the comments and they're saying it just reminds them of regular everyday citrus fragrance state we've all smelled a thousand times but I went on ahead and I bought it anyway just because the collector in me went at the bottle as well as what was inside so 💯💯
I actually think your comments are a bit wrong, this is a pure clone of Terre dhermes de givre. Its identical, even the dry down. Hermes is a bit stronger I would say, but not by much. Now if you like the Hermes fragrances then get this, as if you are from the uk you can currently get it from Superdrug for £59. Personally I like it better thsn the other eros's. BUT I like citrus fragrances.
Honestly respect the dedication to the fragrance vid. You seem like you live in the same region and it’s uncomfortably hot this week so a pool sounds nice
Finally tried this one the day it came out. I knew it would smell like this tbh based on the notes… I figured it might be boring but I really like it. Kinda like the top notes of aventus but kinda “candied” Like a summer version of aventus that’s pretty well balanced. I will be picking this one up for my holiday next week 🤙
For me it’s like a very citrusy Mont Blanc explorer. In the dry down it has a dry woody earthy smell similar to explorer. It doesn’t have ambroxan however I think.
@@willzavala9890I’m going to wear it all year round and stand out from the winter vanilla bombs lol 😂 I think it’ll cut through that winter air nicely 👌🏼
Isn’t as harsh or synthetic as club de nuit in the opening and has no Smokey dry down …. It’s much more a citrus forward Montblanc explorer with good projection that lasts very well for a citrus forward scent
I fully understand that smell is highly subjective, but I sampled this at Dillard's yesterday, and it definitely was in that Aventus/ Aventus Cologne space for me, especially with the opening. Now, don't get me wrong. It was nowhere near a clone nor necessarily an "inspired by" version of Aventus/ Aventus Cologne. It was definitely its own thing. But IMHO (and I'm making this judgement just off one sampling) if a person already has several Aventus DNA fragrances such as Hacivat, Mont Blanc Explorer, either CDIM version, etc. a full bottle of Eros Energy is unnecessary and brings nothing substantially new to the table. I may just purchase a 10ml decant for the heck of it.
@@professorlip I sampled it yesterday as well, got one good spray on the back of my hand. Got lots of strong citrus but didn't get any aventus vibes. I am a huge aventus fan, so I guess I'll have to try it again.
I smelled this in store and on the initial smell it smelled like freshly squeezed oranges, I didn't like it at first but then 20 minutes later or so it smelled so amazing and I'm regretting I didn't buy it 😔
O.K have smelled it . Very similar to Dior Eau Sauvage EDT yet the Eros has candy sweetness which is not so good . The Sauvage EDT has much more natural vibe and it is by far better quality fragrance . Eros shows that Sauvage EDT is timeless . Might make the Sauvage EDT more popular , bring it back to the front to younger guys . Also Chanel allure home sport EDT is the sweetness you want instead of Eros energy. So Eros energy is harsh , candy lemon and has synthetic vibe. Dior eau Sauvage EDT is by far better lemon - bergamot scent and natural . A must timeless . Chanel allure home Sport is the orange version of Eros which is much better the Eros . Explorer is much ether then Eros energy and they are way different . Best economical every day wear . Creed aventus EDP is still no 1 . The Goat = niche frag After Creed Aventus no 2 is Creed silver mountain water EDP = niche frag Third place Dior Eau Sauvage EDT = designer yet niche quality and natural
I pre-ordered my bottle and it arrived early. Versace Eros Energy has an sharp, crisp yet citrus rindy opening with a Creed Aventus backbone. The mid and dry down is Aventus, Explorer, CDNIM special edition...etc. Projection is nuclear for the first hour and longevity is 8 to 10 hrs. Energy is a discount pickup. If you are sick of Aventus and its clones (I am), you should pass on this one.

Doesn't smell like Aventus to me. Basically just citrus until it's a skin scent and then it smells a bit like Mont blanc explorers dry down. Either way, quite disappointing.

Orange - citrus - bomb. More fresh than sweet, not heavy or too synthetic at all. Nice!
