I think it took so long because they were trying to sign Channing Tatum to be the advertising face of the campaign and the negotiating, then filming and doing the photo-shoots for the ads were the hold up. Took months, oh well atleast the Southern Hemisphere gets it in time for their summer.

I don't get where all these people are saying it reminds them of Creed Aventus but for me it reminds me of Folce & Gabbana Forever and Italian love with that fresh Rindy Citrus peel off the top and I pretty much just keep smelling that rindiness throughout the life of the fragrance for me, I do like it...💯

Nice thorough review! I grabbed a bottle today from Dillards. I'm really enjoying it so far, but I must admit that citrusy/fruity frags are my favorite genre of fragrances which puts it right up my alley. I can definitely see the similarities to Aventus (I'd say it's closer to Explorer though), but I also think that it's quite different- especially in its use of citruses and being more linear. I've only had it on for a couple of hours, but I think it just might be my favorite Eros. It's really the only one that's significantly different from the rest of the line, which can be good or bad depending on how much you like the Eros DNA.
I never understood those comparisons either. However, I can smell the similarities with Energy. To my nose, it's much closer to Explorer than it is to Aventus, but I definitely wouldn't call it a clone. Aventus is better, but Energy is different enough to own both.

However, in the dry down, Aventus! I have to admit. I didnt want it to smell like it and in the opening i was wondering what the hell everyone was talking about, but then i got it in the drydown.

Just had my nose on this last night and while it doesn't have the smokey nuances of certain batches of aventus once that lemon sherbert opening has gone there's no getting away from the fact it is certainly going after the same feel. In fact if there was more of the smokey facets present in this it would be very close to c.d.n.i.m

They shouldve amped up the ginger, added the eros mint and geranium, maybe rosemary too then itd be a great add to the eros line, based on what your saying.
Also manged to sample this. And this is NOT their take on Aventus!! So many saying that But they clearly have NOT tried this. Again...NOTHING like Aventus. Its worth getting, let it sit...and next summer, it'll be a fantastic edition As lets face it, by next year it'll be reformulated to water!
i wouldve loved some aquatic sea salt or aldehydes with geranium or rosemary making it a little bit more balanced and airy because atp i prefer qaed al fursan for the sweetness anyways

The opening smells like lemon heads but the dry down to me is where its at and it smells natural not synthetic at all definitely a solid release.

Why? It is an all year round fragrance. And in the winter, you can pretty much use all your fragrances. No rules for this. Your gate keeping yourself.

After the citrus setlles down which isn't long, this smells almost identical to Montblanc Explorer.

Once it macerates it's going to be even better also the dry down is different in my bottle it definitely transitions for me
