I already have sold several bottles of Eros Energy for those who are looking for a first cologne or or those who have 2-5 and want something bright for the summer/new daily, so I can definitely see this being loved by a casual crowd (what Versace usually caters to) but not for those deep in the game

i find it interesting how this is 69.5% alcohol, yet some niche edps are in the 80% range. dylan blue a "edt" is 79%.
I really like your laid back approach to the new releases. It feels like you really learnt not to lean too much one way right from the get go.
I dont understand why everyone is upset that it has similarities to Aventuse? Yes, Aventus is overplayed (in the clone market, not the designer market for the average person), but I feel like everyone is talking about Aventus as if it is a $100 fragrance. Aventus is a $500 fragrance! Nobody in their right mind will say: " this smells like aventus, so I will buy aventus instead." Unless they completely dont care about the budget. Here, I am talking about the regular person, not the fragrance enthusiast.
Super Lemon!!!!!!!!!!! It smells like Lemon from top to bottom. Lasts a couple of hours as do most Citrus based fragarances. And you are correct - a lemon citrus bomb. THIS IS NOT AVENTUS! I see very little if any resemblance. This is a summer monster fragrance. EROS rocks, keep up the great work with all the flankers. Flame is still the best.

Exactly my boy. This is f. Pure lemon. Go to any Turkish shop or bazaar. You get this for 5 euro and Versace wants to fool us with 100 euro
It's very Aventish, but emphasis on the ish.
It is quite close to aventus cologne. Just with a lemon drop opening. I don’t know how anyone could say it’s not very similar to aventus cologne. Not the og aventus.
Parfums the best
I saw someone said Energy was released perfectly in time for Summer in the Southern Hemisphere. So it's perfect if you're traveling to Australia/New Zealand the next few months.
I mean, sure but only if you ignore population distribution. A grand total of 10-12% of the worlds population lives in the southern hemisphere. And of these 10-12% many are not in the market for a 120 dollar Versace summer fragrance. I like wearing Terre d'Hermes Eau Givre in particular hot and humid weather, so theres a chance this citrus bomb works really well in those type of climates. But if you asume the sales in the developing world are gonna make up for launching this out of season for the global north, you are ... adventurously optimistic.

Mont Blanc Explorer is also an EDP fragrance. Also, for me (since I live in Florida), I think that the release date is irrelevant since it's Spring & Summer in Florida 24/7 😅.
Explorer is 100 times better than this and much cheaper

A lot of people love Dior homme cologne and I think this is a great replacement for that for a cheaper price.

I sprayed this one once today at Sephora. One spray on the neck. 8 hours later it’s still coming off my skin. I can say the performance is super solid. This does smell like Aventus. May not be as exactly as the Aventus DNA. But it really does smell like it. And it’s potent as heck
I'm just so glad this thing is not an EDT. Also, when you said it's closest to Aventus Cologne, I was sold and ordered a bottle from Jomashop. Curious about longevity and projection though. Guess I'll find out.

I think this will sell pretty nicely, all your average Joes like citrus scents. And this one smells better and lasts longer than most.
Eros Energy is fantastic for really hot weather. It is so refreshing. I really like it.
i have it & i like it alot , after around 15 min i get more of the spicey & woody notes along with the lemon smell .these type of fragrances work well in my line of work & lifestyle. im with you on the cap it just kinda sits on top no click into place of no kind i thought it was just my bottle

The similarities are not found in the opening but in the drydown: oakmossy, birch very similar to hacivat, aventus (cologne), cdnim...

Versace Eros Energy in my opinion it’s better than Aventus
I don't know about the coloring, in my opinion it is time for Versace to mark they fragrances more classy and luxurious with the creativity of Versace. Imagine an all-white (non-seethrough unless light) Eros with a golden cap, an all black Eros (non-seethrough unless light) with a gold-bronze cap and a frosted-white Eros with a silver cap😌

Frosted white for winter as well and a slightly clear semi frosted for summer.
Yellow should have been a fall scent.
I like eros energy alot actually and I just now got flame so when it comes down more I'll definitely be scooping it up. I don't like how they put eros in the name tho imo.

I'm underwhelmed with Versace's US launch timing. Having waited since Spring, the arrival of this edition to the Eros collection just prior to Fall has reduced my excitement. As a result, I'll probably delay my purchase until next year, opting for a discounted price to wear the following Summer.

The top note is a bit much but once it drys down its really nice even better than explorer

If it smells like Aventus without the smokiness, I'll give it a try. I live in Florida so I'm always looking for something that will perform in the high heat.

Almost sounds like you're describing Roja a little bit. Although Roha leans more on the grapefruit and lime than the lemon.
if you can get this for $60 for 200 ML, then it'll be great. Might even replace Versace Pour Homme as the cheap freshie everyone buys.

When i tried this at Macy's the opening caught me so off guard. I knew the opening would be citrusy but i didn't expect it to be that citrusy and sour.
I smelled this the other day… it’s a citrus bomb, it’s like an orange lemonade type of scent. It’s nice tho
To me it smells similar to Goldfield & Banks "Bohemian Lime"

Smells like club de nuit intense i have them both but the versace smells more fancy or cleaner like more expensive
I got both also and eros is just far more enjoyable immediately when you spray it while club de nuit needs to sit for 30min to an hour to be a pleasant scent. Eros is what club de nuit wishes it could be.
I tried this scent a couple days ago and did not like it at all. It’s very harsh and aggressive smelling. It’s also very headache inducing, I ended up washing it off after an hour. To me, it smelled like a slightly better quality Club De Nuit. A very overused / redundant scent DNA.

I bought AHS Superleggera at duty free on my way to Aruba. I have to say I really enjoyed it. Got a couple of compliments as well. Even got the fragrance for a little less than retail, so a nice win all around.
what kind of longevity are you getting?
@@davidwestwood2457 Nothing crazy. Somewhere in the 5-6 hour range. Light projector, but it works well in warm weather, which is where you would want to wear it.
People that live near the equator are fine with this releasing now.

It does smell like Aventus not a exact copy but still has that dna . And let’s just accept the fact that most fragrances using that dna are just using the popularity of Aventus to their advantage .

I was able to get a sample at dillards. Smells decent on drydown, but im more of a lime fan than lemon.

I tried it, and it was bad, to my nose. The opening is like a lemon hard candy, but 2 minutes after, it smells like a wet dog washed with lemon pledge.
ah exaclty what my thought was. Lemon hard candy. Not natural smelling to my nose.
I absolutely got lemon candy off the opening, big time big time, but interestingly only on paper. On skin, it was like that, but became a sweeter aventus rip. So I’m not complaining.

What is the best discounter sites to buy off of? I only buy at Macys or Nordstrom because I thought they are fakes on discounted sites?
I've used Jomashop and Fragrancenet in the past and would recommend either of them.....prefer Jomashop of the two.

I just ignore literally any review in a comment section or on something like fragrantica that even remotely mentions price point as a strong factor in their analysis (with the exception being clones). I just can’t relate to hating luxury goods and brands for the price being charged for their luxury goods. I care about the quality of the product, compared to the quality of other products it’s attempting to compete with. Price only becomes a concern for PERSONAL reasons. Fair market value is fair market value, IMO, you should be talking about the quality of the item not whether or not you are upset you can’t afford it. Doesn’t apply to actual reviewers because cost analysis is something you are effectively reporting on, and realistically you are actually discussing what price is a proxy for: the value of the fragrance as it relates to its quality.

except TdH has a really nice drydown and CDNIM is complete garbage.

Versace Eros Energy or spend more and get JPG Paradise Garden for summer?
They are very different. One is a citrus bomb with pepper and woods and the other dries down into a sweet coconut. Both smell amazing. JPG Paradise Garden performs better. JPG is more interesting/unique, but if you don't like coconut, then stay away.

For some reason, I do not like Aventus smell like fragances.... I got samples of Aventus, Cedrat Boise, Hachivat, etc... I just don't like the DNA.... so I'll pass on this

I'm sorry " I've worn it a few time's and coming from someone who's been wearing Creed Aventus since 2011 and still own multiple batches! My oldest being a 2014 batch, it doesn't smell anything like freaking Creed Aventus. Lol
Yes they may share similar notes but they are done totally different in my opinion! I actually get a sweetness in the background that sorta gives me a touch of the original eros vibes.
I think most people, including Ash are comparing it to the cologne, not regular Aventus
Yea for you and your years of experience with fragrances and with aventus may not smell the same, but trust me, for someone who is not into perfumes, after that first 10 minutes of lemon peel the resemblence with aventus is 100%
Even the cologne carries a large portion of the original DNA " versace eros energy is a lot heavier on the citrus and way denser

After the strong, citrusy opening, it is very similar to Nishane Hacivat. That's it.
