  • After staying in this newly renovated home, I now understand that renovation regrets are bound to happen and your regret may not be someone else's renovation regret. Some renovation choices really depend on your lifestyle and personal preferences. It's best to test it out with your first home and then strive to build a better home the next time around.

Hi there! I'm Deenise, a typical millennial living in Singapore and married to a man who unofficially proposed to me with an HDB flat.
I am more than happy to share my 4-room HDB Flat home renovation journey with you along with the interesting snippets and key moments of my life. Home ownership is quite a thing for young married Singaporean couples like us and like everyone else, we want our homes to not only be functional but aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
The theme of our home is minimalist mixed with some elements of wabi-sabi and brutalist. We both love the raw cold concrete texture juxtaposed with some warm-toned elements like wood.

For the issue with the drain on floor ... you could actually get those silicon trapper and lay it over. Its pretty flat so should solve the issue. I like tha you talk about the pros and cons rather than just how nice the decor is.

👋 Hi, as for turning off the valve for the bidet often, I suggest not to... the valve will wear n tear sooner(that's why we change taps more often than valves). And it's a hassle to change the valve than to change the hose+bidet.😀You'll need to turn off the main water supply to the unit before the change. You might wanna address the tap with the rust.Over time, the rust stain will worsen & cleaning it will be painstaking.
Black taps look cool but after sometimes, the coating comes off(cheaper taps, not sure of expensive ones😝).

Hi thanks for recommendations! Yes the rust at the shower head is an issue cos it was not sealed properly before that so there’s rust.

Hi! May I check if the toilet bowl you are using is the American Standard Acacia?
