When you hit the lips with the blood red the joker "Why so serious" came to mind. 😂 The final bait came out alot better than I thought at first. This 4 section build was really interesting to see come together. Can't wait to see the next bait.
Man your carving and painting skills have always been super impressive- but now you're getting some wicked action out of your baits. This thin looked great coming through the water- reminded me of my Mike Bucca, shad style swimbaits. Really snappy but natural action- this would kill in the spring when they're actively chasing bait close to the surface. I could see this thing getting T-boned from underneath. Of you could get that wood to clack together as it swims- it would make an awesome wake or subsurface swimbait for night fishing.
Caught my first of 2024 today! The weather will get better! I gotta think that third piece having a cupped shape facing forwards has to really go a long way in making that wiggle. That might be something to explore more.

Not sure what kind of epoxy you use but you can use vinegar to clean off two part epoxy within the first 24 hours. I used this trick once to fix a watch besel that i glued on crooked. Worked like a charm.
I watched a video yesterday called “ how to tie the game changer” and I know that your wife does some. I think it would be a good fun Collab project for the two of you.

I heard you say once that you need to have the bait as close to the axis as possible when spinning it. What if you were to make a bracket that was shaped like a rod jornal for an engine crank shaft? You could make it long and have slots on the ends to adjust for different sized baits. Thanks for the vids!
Perhaps creating the blob fish with a mold and soft plastic would give you the translucency you seek. Or maybe make it with resin or silicone for translucency.
Up stream from the culverts is an amazing small mouth hole go to the first bend and u will know exactly where to throw id wait til it warms up a lil tho 😅
