I want to thank you. Because my Husband does not like sour cream. I think he will like his on nachos and other things that I like sour cream on I think I'd like this too. Sounds so good. THANKS AGAIN!! ME will try it. Yummy!!!😎😎😎😎😁😁
Thank you for your kind comment. That’s how it’s supposed to be. People over think it and add unnecessary ingredients to it, like mayo, eggs, potato, yogurt, it’s ridiculous. Lol
I’m Italian...I have a lot of Arabic friends, they taught me about this condiment for grilled chicken....it is awesome!!!! I thank you for this eggless recipient, definitely will try it
Hi, I have tried this few times and it failed before It is finally looking great :). There are 3 things one needs to do correctly, 1-good solid (not soft)Garlic, the fresher the better. 2- add half of the oil very slowly first before adding any Lemon Juice. 3- Make the mixer and the spoon are dry. Another important thing is to leave the sauce after it is done outside of the fridge for an hour or so before covering the container with a towel paper under the lid so it can absorb any moisture before placing it in a fridge. This Recipe is great, thank You.
Thank you for correcting me on the oil crisis, someone told me olive oil and I screwed up the whole batch. 😭 I wanted to use the avocado oil instead. Thank you, thank you, thank you, now I understand what I was doing wrong. Do i have to cut out the green stem inside the garlic? i noticed u didn't.
When your garlic is older and not fresh it has a steam, and yes if you have the stem remove it so the garlic doesn’t get bitter. Otherwise if it’s super fresh you don’t have to. Avocado oil is just fine. You’re welcome!
It could be from your garlic, remove the inside green part from the garlic if you can. Only use neutral oil. This was my first video so I say the oil incorrectly but in the description is my the correct recipe.
Maybe to much oil or not enough garlic. Every garlic size is different. You have to put oil in slowly until you reach a thick consistency and stop. Keep trying! Practice makes perfect.
Elie Nehme This is an older food processor which has only one speed. If you have levels on yours do it on medium to low speed. Thanks for watching! Your likes, comments and subscriptions are appreciated.
@@aakashsuryi9098 I don’t know what your doing wrong but every size of garlic is different. I used large garlics. Everything should be added slow and steady and see as you go and alternating oil and lemon juice.
@@hyefeastla thanks, my garlic were too small so they don't even blend properly. They just stick to the sides. I then realized that I'm using a small quantity of garlic pods for the size of my blender. Also I don't know if I'm supposed to use an actual blender or a food processor
Yes, you’re supposed to use neutral oils either canola or vegetable. Otherwise it breaks. Those aren’t the greatest oils for use but for this recipe that what you must use. I use vegetable oil.
Omg! Look at the written out recipe in descriptions which is mentioned accurately. This was one of my first videos and I was nervous. Give me a break Jesus! 🤦🏻♀️
@@hyefeastla no, you keep saying to add the “olive oil”... your recipe says avocado or vegetable oil but no mention of the type of olive oil that you’re using in this video. I’m sitting here with 15 students and teachers and everyone is confused as to why you told people not use olive oil but then you go ahead and use it anyway in this video. So if extra virgin olive oil is wrong then which olive oil is right, which olive oil are you using?
@@rick_terscale1111 Oh I apologize if your confused. I may say it but my recipe posted is the accurate one. Avocado oil or vegetable oil are the best ones to use for this recipe. I’m not an expert on making videos I’m new at this. Thank you!

this stuff is great. not just for chicken, we enjoy it even with beef kafta kebabs. literally just dip it with pita bread lol.

I was looking for recipe with extra olive oil, your description says it will give strong taste, makes sense. Thanks for sharing
Extra virgin olive oil does give a strong taste. Use only vegetable oil & avocado oil. I’ve mentioned in my written recipe. Thank you!

vera avedissian Enjoy! ❤️
i saw some vid. they put egg white... Ur version is good thou👍
You don’t need egg whites
How did they make it back in the day, the traditional way?
Yes exactly 👍🏻
How long to keep in fridge ,as I did freeze some doesn’t work when thawed oil come to the top not fluffy
2-3 weeks in refrigerator. Maybe 1 month.

How long can we store this Toum
@@latamohan2874 You can store up to a month in refrigerator.
I made this and it was SUPER SPICY! what did I do wrong did I add too much lemon juice or was my garlic bad??
It could be from your garlic, remove the inside green part from the garlic if you can. Only use neutral oil. This was my first video so I say the oil incorrectly but in the description is my the correct recipe.
Is this sauce applied to the chicken while roasting or after the chicken is done cooking?
Either way works! But it’s mainly eaten on the side. I’ve rubbed on a whole chicken with other spices and it works beautifully as well. Enjoy!
All things in room temperature?
It really doesn’t matter
What should i do to make the sauce thinner?
Add more oil. My opinion thicker is better. Everyone has a different preference I guess. Enjoy!
@@hyefeastla thank you
Thank you for this recipe, but why did mine turn out runny, 😔

Hi thanks for your recipe yesterday I made this sauce but it too hot havy when I buy in it’s too creamy and tasty
I’m glad you liked it. ☺️
Appreciate for your help I just wanna ask why my sauce taste is very heavy ? What should I do to keep the taste normal?
Garlic taste is more high and strong like chilli
It from your garlic, you can remove the middle green stems to avoid that, and maybe less garlic. I didn’t have that problem.
Is the blender on high or low when you're adding the oil?

Could you tell shelf life?
Two weeks in a tight container.
Oil should be cool or room teperature
Oil should always be at room temperature
I'm sure the Lebanese Fast Foods use cheap vegetable oils. Tastes good anyway. 😊

First you said it’s not olive oil then you say it’s olive oil?
Yes I’m aware, it was my first video and was very nervous. Please read my written out recipe below.
You stated that olive oil makes tous bitter, but you have referred to the oil as olive oil several times
Yes, I’m aware. It was my first video, accurate measurements are written out underneath.
She said not to use olive oil at the start, but she kept referring to the oils she poured as olive oil.
Please read written recipe, use a neutral oil. It was my first video and was nervous, give me a break. Jesus!
Canoli oil is best
It is but not good for you. That why any other neutral oil is better.
That is a lot of garlic, doesn't it will taste garlic and spicy? Just now I make toum mayonis using egg
You make it however you like it. This is an eggless version. It doesn’t get spicy. Enjoy!

It needs to be whipped longer and the oil needs to be drizzled in slowly.
