Amen on the honey select ! I planted it and Bodacious . I don't have much luck staggering it unless I plant two different varieties not sure why but planted a week apart it still comes off at the same time
Homesteading the Hard Way sometimes mine will come in around the same time as well when I only plant a week apart but if I skip two weeks it’ll come in a little later. I’ve never tried bodacious
@@lawsonlawnandfarm8073 it's a good yellow corn but not as good as that honey select . Daddy never would plant anything other than silver queen and the old folks pulled it early before it filled out all the way
Also Hoss Tools has a push planter but it’s a good bit more in price but built out of steel with wood plow handles. Pecan tree putting leaves on will indicate frost are over for us here in the Deep South.
DTB Farms yea the sayings are different everywhere.. Chris with homesteading the hard way says they go by the oak trees budding and they’re just on the other side of the state
Lawson Lawn And Farm yes they are. Pecan trees are the last to put leaves on other than the black walnut trees so it’s a good sign especially in early to mid March. * in the Deep South
I planted Honey select last year and will be using the Earth way seeder to plant the corn this year. Hopefully it runs as smoothly for me as it did for you
seen it brother good work

Homesteading the Hard Way that’s how we did it too.. grandpa never let one fill out.

Nice tutorial
I wanted to plant some corn this year but couldn't get any seeds in time. Now next year hopefully .
Gardening Wise is it too late where you are?
It’s still not too late down here in South MS, get you some seed and plant.
Those planters work well, my soil tends to be to cloddy and hard to plant. Do you have the side dressing attachment?
DTB Farms no i didn’t realize they made a side dressing attachment for it.. I’m going to check into that
Lawson Lawn And Farm yeah I’m that nerd that keeps up with tools and equipment!🤣
Lawson Lawn And Farm I don’t imagine it would hold much fertilizer though.
@@dejayblair7571 where could a feller get one of those ?
Homesteading the Hard Way Agri Supply has them I know, they’re up your way
