You will not be disappointed when you come to Michigan. I live in Michigan all my life and have gone camping all my life and my family loved camping in Michigan.
Born and raised there, live in IN now. Just tonight I remarked to my husband how funny it is that suddenly everyone on youtube, is discovering MI. You could easily spend an entire summer and not see all the cool stuff.
So much of MI is nature there are a ton of spots here. I live in MI also and I still have not hit all the spots on my list and I own an RV and am a Boy Scout Leader. With all the lakes, rivers, dunes, forests, rock formations, water falls, and caves, and small crafty towns there is a lot to see.
I absolutely LOVE Charlie. I would really enjoy seeing a special episode devoted entirely to Charlie. I think a lot of your viewers would like that. Another amazing video from my favorite U-Tube channel. Well done………again!!
I know it takes a ton of hours to make your videos. I just want you to know. The amount of enjoyment I get alone might be worth it. Very down times, lifted by your videos. Life can be good. Thanks!
Michigan was one of the first states to have “Roadside pull-offs” where you can pull off for the night. Almost like a rest area but with the bonus of a lovely scenic view. And it’s free. No hook ups but absolutely gorgeous for crashing for the night. And most are not even crowded. Most we stopped in had no other campers. We had the whole place to ourselves. And most had clean restrooms. First class. Much better than a fest area.
The ride along Lake Michigan from Petoskey State Park through Harbor Springs up to Cross Village is one of the best scenic drives in Michigan. You have to stop into Leggs Inn in Cross Village. You won't regret it.
The twenty mile route is called tunnel of trees. Pretty!! Legs Restaurant is a polish food restaurant. Not this year, but usually has a band on the weekends. Excellent!
I'm very familiar with that V4 90 horse Johnson on the Boston whaler. The service and maintenance on that motor must be impeccable for it to have that amount of age on it and still be able to troll all day long. I'm very impressed.
The Airstream window fix is the next tip we will be doing this week. The hitch handle is working great. Keep showing the blind slide backing into site experience. State parks are abundant with such sites. Your videos are a must watch experience. Plus you include cute Kids and adorable dog too!
I love that you guys are spending so much time in Michigan. I love living here. It’s like I’m always finding someplace new in this state. There is so much to do here, Can’t wait to see where else you guys go. Happy Camping. (I want to go for a trip to Petoskey now, just to find your stones. Lol)
HI ! HOPEFULLY THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH THEY WEREN'T ABLE TO FIND WHAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM . IT'S GORGEOUS THERE & THE WEATHER TOO ! THE TOWN & LAKE WAS BEAUTIFUL. BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALL ALWAYS ON YOUR JOURNEYS ! ENJOYED ! THE PUP IS SO CUTE !
We are probably one of your newest members. We are semi retired, I work from home and we flip houses together. We have always talked about getting an RV and while driving down the road, saw one and BOUGHT IT! Thank heavens for KYD. I think we have already bing watched most of your episodes and love them all. Our son and daughter in law live in Alaska and since we cannot get there to see them this year we especially loved that season. We have only taken two short overnight trips to accustom ourselves to the RV and look forward to many more. Thank you for all your advice and the valuable information we have learned. We love all of you guys and Charlie! Keep the advice coming!
I hope the bathroom doesn't leak anymore even though they couldn't find the issue. Such beautiful scenery. I've been at Lake Ontario and was shocked at the rocks on the beach and how the water was so much like the ocean with the waves and the sounds. The campgrounds were beautiful and I love the town where you got the burgers and ice cream, so quaint and special for sure. Hugs, Brenda
I was going to ask if you saw any Petoskey stones while you were there. The one you showed that was the wine cork was one of them. They're really old coral that filled with sediment and formed into rocks, that's why they have the spotted look to them. Some of the neatest rocks I've seen. One of these days I'll make it to Michigan to hunt for my own.
Great video! Thrilled you liked Woodland we were hoping for a good review. We pick up the Airstream we purchased from them in two weeks, it was nice to hear they treated you well! We look forward to your videos every Sunday, it’s a great way to finish off the weekend.
Love me some Boston Whaler, Charley and his stick, Trish's cooking ideas, and the tips on the fridge. So jealous as my Grand Design 381M is still awaiting transport from the factory and everyone is out having fun and we are not able to participate. Living vicariously thru you guys. Safe travels.
You’re in my old hood! Worked in Petoskey, Charlevoix, and TC and lived on Torch Lake and Bellaire. That first rock that you showed is the coveted Petoskey Stone. Anxious to see the TC owned RV sites.
I live in Gaylord, MI, 32 miles from Petoskey State Park and we go to Traverse City at least once a month to shop 😊 Love it that you guys got to see the beautiful area! I will have to go find your rocks ❤️ The first time we went to Traverse City 12 years ago we stayed at Holiday Park campground too. Can't wait to see your TC footage! That trip is what lot the fire in us to move to Northern MI. We used to live down state in-between Flint and Lansing. Been up here 7 years now and loving every minute ❤️
Yes! The rolling "Fix-It" log is a must-do for service on your rig. Recently had major items serviced but missed some minor bug-a-boos when we were right there in the shop. Love your channel, 2 yr full-timers partly because of your infectious RV enthusiasm and loving it. Heading to Flagstaff, AZ today on our way West after spending the summer in TC, MI. Enjoy!!
I love watching Charlie in the back seat when you are backing into a site. He always looks like he's watching his side, or judging you, either one. LOL
My parents bought quite a few Airstream from woodland travel center and had awesome service. Plus I went to school with one of the owner son's. Glad they give you guys great service. Love the videos great work you put into them.
Trish, I owe you the biggest thank you. A couple of videos ago, you made a statement that stuck with me. "Just get out there and start, even if it is just in a tent." Ok, that was paraphrased. I have been held up on getting my RV Life started because I have not found that remote job I want. OK, I put an offer on a 1995 Kountry Aire Class A. Just waiting now to see if the owners accept. I will not be able to hit the road full time but will be able to start doing weekends and such. So, thanks for putting a fire under my behind to take that next step.
Another excellent video! We love the Petoskey area any time of the year. Look forward to next week and sleeping bear dunes - another of our favorite areas. Hope you stick around Michigan long enough to see our incredible changing tree colors.
The Petoskey rocks (and family related rocks) are well known acrossed the country, and can be worth something depending on the rock. Michigan is known for agates. Love Petoskey State Park!
Thank you soo much! I moved from Michigan 2 yrs ago (job). Born and raised! My summer stomping grounds! You made my day and when I go back to visit, I will be on the lookout for KYD blue rock! lol. Hope you made it to Crossville and the Tunnel of trees. xx
Wow! You guys are great and do great work. After watching this one and your other Michigan episodes I always become a little home sick. If you’d like the opposite of Mackinac Island, you should have checked out Beaver Island. The ferry leaves from Charlevoix next to the drawbridge. Thank you, KYD!!!
Beautiful places! Glad to here you had a good service experience. One tiny side note. We noticed that knives in your kitchen area are on a magnetic bar with the blades facing down. If it’s possible to place the blades up, it’s much safer. If your hand accidentally swipes sideways or you knock one knife off while grabbing another, your less likely to slice your hand or have a sharp end drop in your foot. We used to carry a line of knives in our gourmet shop and the magnetic display rack was designed to have blades facing up for those reasons.
Good to see you had a good time fishing in my hometown! Muskegon is such a beautiful place! Really nice to see Muskegon getting some positive publicity with KYD!
Absolutely loved this episode! Not only visiting some of our favorite locations near our home but the RV repair tips are much appreciated! We always learn so much each week about making the journey more enjoyable and ways to stay organized while RVing. We're settling into the idea that things will go wrong so not to be surprised but try to be prepared. Really liked Trish's idea about keeping an ongoing list of things to tend to when our RV is in for a repair or PM. We look forward to our maiden voyage next spring. For now, we're going rock hunting.
So cool to see you guys are in Michigan. As a guy born and raised on west side of Michigan. Summers are a blast with so many things to see. Also cool to see other full time rv’ers in Michigan too. Less junk more journey as well as finding your someday. Keep up the good work and enjoy Michigan.
Almost lost it that day. Lost sight of the boat and the "return to home" function didn't work. Had to find that little boat by sight, which was not easy.
Keep Your Daydream WOW... how does that happen over something so wide open? Must be a lot signal interference coming from some place? Whatever the case.. thanks that was great! And seeing Dennis was great! Great ball player!
Petoskey is a beautiful place, and has at least one really good brewery . There is a nice little RV park ran by the city that sits right on Lake Michigan and the bike trail that runs from Petoskey to Charlevoix runs right by it along the lake. I think it is Beards Brewery that is downtown and overlooks the lake. Great beer and fish and chips!
My daughter played travel softball in high school, we would camp at Petoskey State Park, and they would play at Park right on the bay. It was so much fun, and hard to believe it was 20 years ago..
Just had to comment about the ambience of a campfire - too much is too much, we've been dealing with smoke from wildfires most of the week, hope to get some relief tomorrow as the weather changes in Westen Oregon. Had a couple of days where the sky was yellow-orange and the smoke was terrible, now it's just gray and terrible. With an air inversion, all the smoke is trapped close to the surface right now. The only good thing is that our noisy neighbors are indoors, so it's quiet; however, our air quality is the worst in the world right now, and we can't go outside to enjoy the quiet. Love the tip about keeping a 3x5 card with the small complaints - what a great idea!!!
I LOVE that you show the FULL process of backing in your TT. I'm learning how to better help my husband get into our lovely (but tight) state park sites here in Michigan ;)
Love your channel! We’re new RVers three weeks ago and have definitely benefited from your video tips and tricks and love your wholesome messages like “I’ve got nowhere to be and all day to get there”. Thanks for all that you do.
Saw your video tonight!! Love 💕 when you go to Michigan!! The rocks around the beaches of Lake Michigan are cool! We collected a lot of them!! Can't wait to see you in Traverse City! We stayed at a camp ground in 2005 or 2006! So READY to go back!! This time in a camper.
SO cool you guys are bouncing around right in my backyard! My mom just had knee replacement surgery in Charlevoix a couple weeks ago...all is well she's doing great. So happy you are seeing Up North.
Charlie with a new stick PRICELESS. I hope you get to Kennebunkport, Trish will love it. Will file this place to visit in the future. Water boats Fish, Trifecta
Wonderful episode, giving us a view of this amazingly unique destination. Trish was correct it looks like a comfortable place to explore. Charlie looks like he has a found the sticks at this destination to be the best part. ☺️✨KYD✨👍👍👍
Still binging to catch-up! Watched this episode last night. We were in the same Petoskey SP / Site 161 last month. What a tough site to back into with all those bushes around it. We cringed watching you do it. Our truck and trailer was almost at a 90 degree angle and my trailer tongue weight distribution assembly dented my right rear bumper. During our stay, the rangers came around to confirm site measurements. Talked to them about opening up the site entrance and trimming the bushes across the road. They seemed very open to the idea. Will check next year!
I’m from Caledonia. Just outside of Grand Rapids. I flew into Mackinaw Island once. It was amazing. It was a flight to build hours. Flew from Utah to Michigan to visit the parents. I love the gree!
We were at the ice cream place in Charlevoix back in the early 80’s and it was just as good back then, nice to see they are still in business and doing well. One of many childhood memories from vacations in Michigan with extended family.
I grew up in MI and stayed for 19 years. Did some college at Western Mich. It's a beautiful state. I would love to take my family up to Traverse City, Charlevoix and Mackinac. You guys went to some good ones. There's a lot to do on the eastern side of the state, too. I know y'all did some of it. I was just drawn to mountains so we moved away when I was 19. I love my mountains but MI will always have a special place in my heart.
I really like your channel, we used to live in Cheboygan and was on the old Cutter Mackinaw WHEC 83 and then was at the Aids to Navigation station in Cheboygan also. So all the places around that local is like old home week for me. Thank You!
That is an Andersen stabilizer bucket. I bought one this summer to try out and I love it. It seems so much more stable than using the orange blocks. It allows me to not have to put the tongue down so far and creates a more solid base. I would have been much more nervous with those ruts if we still had the 400.
You guys are fantastic. I think you will have a show on the RV Cable Channel soon. Your videos are top quality and your personalities are great. I always look forward to your updates and since I'm a Michigander, I'm glad you enjoyed your time in our gorgeous state. Come visit anytime and stay longer, when your here, your family.....lol. Dennis the Snowbird down in SE Florida but soon will be back in Michigan living the lake life. Thanks guys.
Well now I must visit Michigan. What a fantastic trip. The drone footage was out of this world and the editing of this video in the boat scenes was fantastic and looked very professional. Excellent Job. I can't wait to go visit. Safe travels and stay well.
Woodland Airstream... Grandville mich... my dads parents and family lives their.... I bought a airstream from them in 1972... and took it around the country... it was a new 1973 31 international... well now that I have the excella 31... and needed parts .. I get them from them also.. great place and great service... but in the wintertime... its nice to be in AZ.. grin...
Oh I love the Dairy Grille spot.... never been there, but had one JUST LIKE IT near my house as a kid. These are the REAL places that started all of our American hamburger fame. Most people have no idea that at one point all Dairy Queens, Wendys, McDonalds, they all looked like this at one point, with little white painted cement block structure with a screen talking window and a tiny sliding door to serve you in.
This week and last are bringing back some great memories for me. I have been to all those places in the recent past in my T@B camper. I have upgraded to an Airstream and plan on hitting all those places again when Covid-19 settles down and things are more normal. Keep the memories coming!
wow another great place. Love MI also - so many great places to see!. Great shot of Charlie enjoying himself. Makes me LOL he's so cute. That fish and salad meal make my mouth water! Great and I could almost smell it!> Thanks for sharing again. So much fun!!
We're always just right behind you. We were in Estes Park, the same campsite in Grand Teton, and now we're in the upper peninsula! I promise we're not intentionally following you.
Another good one here, Marc!! 18:02 "Caleb and I were out there skipping rocks, and some people are swimming....." --------- *"OUCH!! Who threw that rock? That really hurt!!"* :-))
We just arrived at Myrtle Beach State park today. We had a really hard back in spot. I think it would have been easier if we had used our walkie talkie, or even our cell phones. I'm sure everyone around us found it hilarious. Did I mention it was a 41ft Tiffan Allegro bus. Maybe just maybe we learned a lesson.
Hey guy, If your in Traverse city you’re close to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Great place to checkout with a cool story. Indigo Bluffs campground is right near there. Amazing campground
Very impressive. I was showing a friend of mine my rv and then on youtube who I started following and she recognized tricia as a body builder. Being one herself she then had me google her and she was right. I did not know that. You have fans up here in canada.
I was so looking forward to the video this week and you did not disappoint! Michigan girl here and you are hitting all the places that are near and dear to my heart. Love Traverse City too so I'll be excitingly awaiting that video as well. Please show us that you went to Sleeping Bear!!!
Service tip in the Atlanta area: National Indoor RV Centers Lawrenceville, GA. On time and on budget as quoted and they will give you 50 amp in the lot. (It is funny to see coaches worth hundreds of thousands of dollars staying in the parking lot) Food tip in Rhode Island or Connecticut shoreline: soft shell crab sandwich. Yes you eat the whole thing, legs and all!
On my way to Michigan this Wednesday. 2 weeks in the UP... Fast traveling with the Solitude. But will be worth it... the salmon are gonna be running!!!
Michigan is a beautiful place to visit, especially the Campgrounds. Enjoyed your video, & seeing your Daughter. Congratulations Caleb! Getting your license. Almost hate to see you grown up.
Petoskey State park actually has two camping area's a mile apart. The dunes area is close to beach area , wooded and better for smaller campers but can handle larger rigs.
Getting your RV serviced soon? Here are some more tips when it comes to RV Service. www.keepyourdaydream.com/rv-service While you're there, hop on our email list. We send an email notification every Sunday at 7 Cental with some more info and stuff we couldn't include in the video 👍
Awww 🥰 Charlie is sooo adorable!! Just like our girl Charley 💕
That shot of Charlie with the stick! Adorable!!
Especially the pause wink haha

😂😂
Oooh they should open an RV park. They'd have some fun ideas for sure!
Love this comment, I can completely picture this. It's a family affair
Wow, now that sounds like a place I’d visit.
You left out Trish's culinary talents! :0)
You guys and Less Junk More Journey have convinced me Michigan HAS to be on our list for next summer!
You will not be disappointed when you come to Michigan. I live in Michigan all my life and have gone camping all my life and my family loved camping in Michigan.
Upper Michigan!!! Great place to visit, and live.

Just like boating :) Happy hour entertainment
I love that you guys are spending so much time in Michigan. I love living here. It’s like I’m always finding someplace new in this state. There is so much to do here, Can’t wait to see where else you guys go. Happy Camping.

Hey ,these folks always seem to be happy. I seldom see happy people and really looks like they have inner joy.The airstream is nice.
I love watching Charlie in the back seat when you are backing into a site. He always looks like he's watching his side, or judging you, either one. LOL
At 7:16 - watch Caleb's face when he turns to face the camera while hanging shelves with Victoria! That was totally a Marc look! LOL Adorable!
My parents bought quite a few Airstream from woodland travel center and had awesome service.

SO cool you guys are bouncing around right in my backyard! My mom just had knee replacement surgery in Charlevoix a couple weeks ago...all is well she's doing great. So happy you are seeing Up North.
So glad you were impressed with Woodland RV. They are great! Work on everything. Not just airstream or trailers.
Awesome video showing our great state. We were in that area 3 weeks ago. Headed to U.P. All next week. Thanks for another great video. 👍✊
Charlie with a new stick PRICELESS. I hope you get to Kennebunkport, Trish will love it. Will file this place to visit in the future. Water boats Fish, Trifecta
One of the better videos you’ve done.
I guess it’s the editing or something but the flow is excellent !
Good Job !!
Man I would love to see you guys come to the thumb of Michigan! We have some beautiful state parks and privately owned campgrounds!
We can’t wait to get out of California. We love your stops in Montana and Michigan.
You never fail to satisfy the wanderlust in me. We’re starting our Journey on Oct 21, can not wait! Love your videos Mi is the place for sure!!
Wonderful episode, giving us a view of this amazingly unique destination. Trish was correct it looks like a comfortable place to explore. Charlie looks like he has a found the sticks at this destination to be the best part. ☺️✨KYD✨👍👍👍
I'm binge watching all of your adventures and couldn't be more envious but so very excited about OUR new RV purchase! You guys are so inspiring!
👍 Congrats!
You guys are amazing! Edit to my post though not only are you inspiring but also super helpful for new RV owners. I'm definitely a fan of KYD :)
Green trees
Charlie is just so dang happy.
We were at the ice cream place in Charlevoix back in the early 80’s and it was just as good back then, nice to see they are still in business and doing well. One of many childhood memories from vacations in Michigan with extended family.
Charlevoix is great; the weathervane is fantastic, but this area is the starting point to Beaver Island, another wonderful area discovery .
Check out our Detroit visit from last year. Yes, there is even more to do on the sunrise side :) th-cam.com/video/gBWxz35LAmY/w-d-xo.html
I really like your channel, we used to live in Cheboygan and was on the old Cutter Mackinaw WHEC 83 and then was at the Aids to Navigation station in Cheboygan also. So all the places around that local is like old home week for me. Thank You!
I love your videos. They are beautiful and create a peaceful feeling which does not happen very often anymore. Thank you for sharing.
loved the sound of the waves!!!
Charlie steals the show again. Best intro ever. Thanks for another great video guys.
I get them from them also.. great place and great service... but in the wintertime... its nice to be in AZ.. grin...
Being from Michigan the north is just beautiful, though the winters are "challenging"...Go Blue!
It’s such a treat watching your episodes.
Your positivity goes a long way.
Rock On
Oh I love the Dairy Grille spot.... never been there, but had one JUST LIKE IT near my house as a kid.
Just one of those relaxing enjoyable videos. Thanks Marc & Trish...and Caleb & Charlie. 🦮. Just love you guys.
We're always just right behind you. We were in Estes Park, the same campsite in Grand Teton, and now we're in the upper peninsula! I promise we're not intentionally following you.
Good video! 😊 Brought back good memories of Charlevoix from our travels with grandsons last summer! Charming town indeed! ❤️
Another good one here, Marc!!
18:02 "Caleb and I were out there skipping rocks, and some people are swimming....."
--------- *"OUCH!! Who threw that rock? That really hurt!!"*
:-))
We just arrived at Myrtle Beach State park today. We had a really hard back in spot. I think it would have been easier if we had used our walkie talkie, or even our cell phones. I'm sure everyone around us found it hilarious. Did I mention it was a 41ft Tiffan Allegro bus. Maybe just maybe we learned a lesson.
Marc, you’ve outdone yourself with the videography on this one!!!
Hey guy, If your in Traverse city you’re close to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Great place to checkout with a cool story. Indigo Bluffs campground is right near there. Amazing campground
You and your wonderful family have truly inspired my fiance and I to travel more and enjoy the journey. Thank you for everything you do!
I love, love, love this episode. Thank you for sharing! ♡
Very impressive. I was showing a friend of mine my rv and then on youtube who I started following and she recognized tricia as a body builder. Being one herself she then had me google her and she was right. I did not know that. You have fans up here in canada.
Too funny.
Google is forever. That's why no one argues with Tricia!
Hello KYD!! Just getting ready to sit and watch the episode. No doubt it’s going be another great one. Hope you guys had a great weekend. Cheers 🇨🇦
Love those fish from “ Windy”!😂👍
Rock on KYD... Fun times as always, wishing everyone well... enjoy the week... Hi Charlie :)
I was so looking forward to the video this week and you did not disappoint! Michigan girl here and you are hitting all the places that are near and dear to my heart. Love Traverse City too so I'll be excitingly awaiting that video as well. Please show us that you went to Sleeping Bear!!!
Sleeping Bear will be next week :)
Love your channel. I installed a set of "hitch handles" like 5 minutes after watching last episode. So cool.
Your Sunday videos have become a must see for me. Thank you!
We'll check them out.
