    I activated my vtec on my na a lot lower. Ie 1850 - 6+ and Rev limited to 8g blew a ring and now due to rebuild the bottom end... 88mm stroke crankshaft is a dream

      Those engines like boost. Maybe you should rebuild it and add a few psi to have fun.

      do u guys even know how vtc works??

    • @LINKAHc
      @LINKAHc 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hoklo6571 Once activated, the VTC solenoid "plunger" presses on a check-valve at the rear of the cam, effectively blocking the flow of oil from leaving the cam through the rear. This forces oil to pressurize the front chamber in the VTC gear at the front of the cam I activated it lower and longer the variable control is more beneficial in the 200hp ga16de range and I doubt you get it.

    My motor has the vtc function but it is not connected, seeing this video makes me want to connect it but apon further inspection there are no loose wire connected to the ecu to connect to the vtc solenoid, I am currently using the stock ecu, my problem is that I cannot find any wiring diagram that show me where to connect the vtc solenoid onto the ecu. Do you have any suggestions?

    I tried unplugging the vtc solenoid on my 96 sentra all stock and i didnt notice any difference in power or how it runs. I think the stock ecu activates the vtc right above idle rpm so its basically always advanced when driving. Its not like vtec where you can feel it. Anyways cool video man

      It's very true. It is not a very noticeable change at all.

    when u set the distributor on these engines do u unplug the vtc solenoid with the tps unplugged it jumps timing at 7+ btc when the vtc solenoid comes in trying to set the distributor otherwise to get a 10btc

    I hoped you make some tutorial for wirering harness..

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently I have no plans on making a wiring harness video. The topic it too complex and there are too many variables from car models, engines, year, and even countries variables, but you never know if one day a make a custom wiring harness video. 👍

    Or what to search for?

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'll need to get a cylinder head, ECU and wiring harness to make it work.

    • @bradylenders9068
      @bradylenders9068 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I have the cylinder head but in South Africa there isn't a solenoid on the GA16de head with the notch on the left

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bradylenders9068 that's what I mean. You need to get a ga16de cylinder head that already comes with the VTC. You cannot add the VTC. You'll need to swap the whole thing, and in my opinion it's not worth the trouble.

    • @bruhmoment802
      @bruhmoment802 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a ga16dne you'll need a DE head plus the harness and ECU
      And you'll need to drill a hole in your block to have oil to the vtc

    What size turbo are you using?
    It seems smooth and not overpowered, is it ok still ok fuel?
    Also any other mods needed to strengthen the engine for the turbo?

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I'm using twisted motion T3 .50/.63 turbo.
      There are always a few mods that will help, but the most important ones are to upgrade the fuel pump, fuel injectors and get the car tune.

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can probably wire to a switch and turn it On and Off when ever you want to, or get a MSD window switch. That's what people buy to active neo VVL on the sr20ve when they don't have the stock ECU.

      To be honest, I have no idea.
