If you keep watching this video and thinking about buying a Vulcan....just do it. They are worth every penny. You get a LOT of bike for the money. Only paid 3000 for my 2008 1600 with 12k miles on it. It's still basically new. After having 2 Harleys for 20 years i was afraid I wouldn't like the Vulcan 1600 as much ...but I was wrong. I think Kawasaki has the best v twin sound among the metrics and it has a lot of character. It's not overly refined. They still have a little shake and personality which I like. Yamaha makes really nice metric twins but they are air cooled. If I'm going to ride a metric I want water cooling and Kawasaki delivers . Can't go wrong with one. It's a great bike to ride for cheap until you can buy your dream bike one day
U seem very happy with yours. How tall are you if u don’t mind me asking? I’m looking at getting one but I’m 5’9” 215 and hear these are more spread out than the older 1500s and newer 1700s. Also have you done any performance mods past the pipes like a power commander, hyper charger etc??
I found my 1600 Classic for $2,500. Same color as the bike in the video. Only had 24,000 miles. It was for sale on Marketplace for over three months. My curiosity got the best of me, and I had to see what was wrong with it because it looked so clean. The bike was completely stock and totally flawless. It road like a dream. I can't believe I have this bike considering how many people had the chance to get it before I showed up. At first, I was thinking of riding it for a couple seasons then move on to something else like a Stratoliner, but I don't think another bike would make me any happier, so I'm going to put some upgrades into this bike and keep riding it. The Kawasaki 1600 is the best bang for your buck.
Just took the baffles out of my 1600 vulcan cobra speedster pipes.. Waiting for the new slashdown tips to come in.. HOLY FK this thing is loud now... Sounds good, set off some car alarms in my apartment complex.. I'll get a video up soon, but have a ton of add ons.. I get stopped all the time by other riders admiring it.. A ton of add ons.. I always joke I have over 5k in add ons to a 3500 bike..LOL Pipes, chrome pro air intake, All mapped for the performance changes.. Chrome pass food pegs.. Chromed out forward controls and brake pedal, chromed grips and caps, stereo, adding passing lights and upgraded them all to LED runners including the 7 in headlight.. Smoked out front and rear turn signals, all chromed fender tips. front and back, White wall tires, boss sadlebags, chromed out sissy bar and luggage rack, chrome bullet license plate holder, engine and under body led lighting kit that also turns red when hitting the brakes, Aftermarket mirrors, Windshield, chrome vulcan emblem master cylinder and clutch master cylinder covers. chrome vulcan emplem engine oil cap.. I know there is more just can;t think right now.. Next will be a custom seat made..Not a fan of mustang for the price.. and pinstriping is next.. Then maybe done for a wile..
Had a 1500 back in 1998 really liked it but had a lemon and when Kawasaki changed engines out I sold it. Had Cobras on it and was louder than yours. Have a Harley now and a Yamaha Royal Star and like each one for what they are and what they do. All bikes cost a lot and people making Harley wanna be comments should at least ride each and choose what best suits themselves. If mine hadn’t been a lemon I would still have it to this day along with my Harley as they are good bikes
Hello, I have a question, to have installed the throttle intake, have you changed the carburetors or the left side of the intake? Thanks, the sound is very good.
I have those cobras on my 1600. Sounds like it still has baffles in like mine does. I assume straight pipes would mean no baffles?? But these cobras are pretty damn loud with the baffles in them already!
You can pull the key out once you turn the switch, so your keys won't scratch your tank, speedo, etc while you ride. You don't need to key to turn the switch off either, just to turn it on.
I dunno part number but they are called Cobra Speedster Longs. Same pipes on mine. I think they are best sounding pipe for big twin 15 16 1700 Kawasaki. I have a 2008 1600
U cant compare a Harley with this bike Ever buddy... Vulcans Nomads Vaqueros wayyyyy superior than any Harley... reliability and comfort ... Americans very good at marketing.. Nothing wrong with that, My respect for Harley lovers... I had Honda VTX 1800... thats a fuken monster...torque power comfort handling....

In case you didn't know....your video is first result when searching Vulcan 1600 exhaust 👍

I bought a stock '03 1600 Classic a couple years ago. I'd like to see pictures of your bike.
Wonderful, nice noise.. nice color and design. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭

Anybody who makes the "Harley Wannabe" comment is an idiot frankly.
I could listen to that bike all day, puts out an awesome note👍

That sounds sweet!!!
Beautiful bike! Love the way it sounds when you crack the throttle!

@Luis Alonzo no but I got a nice 2008 1600 I’ll sell ya for 3k with speaker’s already on it 👍. Only has 14k miles on it
@Luis Alonzo what model you got forsale
Bahahahahahahah all the chrome look at me! look at me! look at me! My gf just said "it's because he's compensating for something small"
MY GAWD .....
Your idle is too low, your starving the top end. These engines should idle faster
I had cobras. always blued.
I have an 08 1600, where did you find that intake? Its been impossible to find ones that fit.
What power commander map are you using? I have same setup and it gets HORRIBLE gas mileage. Thanks
What engine crash bars you have on that?
nice bike! I'm looking to purchase one similar to that by chance how do you do on fuel with it?
That sounds the closest to a Harley 1600 Kawasaki's do.
Ya, for a few dollars more, ya could have had a real Harley, wanna be!
@@DawnNLN-ee2kh last time I checked, Kawasaki owned Harley Davidson 🤷🏼♂️
But being fuel injected and water-cooled, this one is idling too low just to sound like a Harley. It will damage the engine in the long run.
Ok i need to ask.... how in the hell did you not need the key... i can't turn my igniting without the key
You can pull the key out once you turn the switch, so your keys won't scratch your tank, speedo, etc while you ride. You don't need to key to turn the switch off either, just to turn it on.
awesome bike, not a harley broke down junk
I get about 35 gal. I have 08 Vulcan 1600.

Wish I could add a picture here of my cobras.....I want it louder so they said take the baffles out....but I didn’t know how
Sounds good..What's the part number for these pipes?

I been looking for that hypercharher but can't find one for the 1600 classic. Any ideas?
They did a very good Job copying a Harley RoadKings .sounds just like one.
Sounds like a SICK deranged VW!
Wanna be Harley! LMFAO!
Oook squid. Go waste your money on an overpriced bike.
U cant compare a Harley with this bike
