Every other class: Methodical use of Tech and/or Biotic powers depending on the situation.

I love playing as a vanguard, it just seems so deadly and badass. I think Wrex can be classified as a vanguard, that should say enough.
Me too. I liked that they gave the vanguard biotic charge in mass effect 2 and 3. I also liked sentinel.
I remember as I watched these videos in 2009 and waited for ME2... That was incredible time.
Vanguard was the most badass. and if you know how to use it the deadliest, even on the toughest difficulties.~Beat Mass Effect 2 on Insanity using the Vanguard.
Assassino275 charge in when shields break and have another shield charged up! it also works wonders in the first game (problem beign assault mastery focused on melee and the melee system in the first game is practically non-existent because it is really really clunky!)
Played Infiltrator through all three games (100+ hours)... zero regrets :D

I finished this game 3 times and soldier was my favourite run, despite the fact it may sound as most generic class.

In the first Mass Effect I felt that the biotic classes were lacking. The soldier was the obvious choice. But I love how they fixed that in ME 2 and ME 3. My favorite is Vanguard. It's more close quarters in your face style. It can be disorienting and chaotic. But, if used correctly, it is the most deadly class there is.
Lacking? The only thing you need is Lift Mastery. Period. After that the game is already over, Lift is the biotic power more broken in the first Mass Effect, so much so that we never see it again in the later games (ME2 and ME3)
@@igodreamer7096 I made this post so long ago I didn't even remember I did this. At any rate, you're totally right, Adept clears rooms. Past me didn't know what he was talking about. I still prefer soldier because of the armor. Also the biotic animations were a little janky back then.

I love the infiltrator. It's so much fun to sneak behind enemies and disrupt the lines of the battlefield.
Soldier is the most under-rated class. With classes that focus on powers instead of weapons, you're basically limiting yourself to fixed amounts of damage that you can dish out at fixed intervals. For example, Incinerate. You deal 130-210 damage and have to wait 6 seconds before you can use it again. You can deal the same amount of damage with two bursts from the Vindicator, 3 quick shots from the Viper, or 1 blast from the Katana. Additionally, the damage of these weapons can be enhanced further with ammo upgrades, adrenaline rush, and headshots, and can receive damage upgrades just like tech and biotics do. There's also the fact that weapons are hitscan while most powers are projectile, and most powers become less helpful as difficulty goes up and enemies get more shields and armor.
@Zain844 yup the easiest class ever, you cant go wrong with this class, you can go at any range in battle and still beat the hell crap of your enemy faster than any other class, no need any tactic or strategy, just spam adrenaline rush and aim head shot
using the soldier class, watching this immediately changed my mind about it. fuckin adept and vanguard hells ya
I have done playthroughs with all of the classes but gotta say that vanguard is my favorite.
they're really fun on lower difficulties, but on hardcore and above (maybe even on hard, not sure), charge = suicide.
I play on hardcore and if you pick your charges it can be a really good offensive and defensive ability since it recharges your barriers. It's also a good way to escape if you are getting swarmed. While it is true that being high risk/high reward style of play and it is riskier than most other classes the pay off is that you can clear out enemies alot quicker if you know what you are doing.

This game looks amazing, I'd better pick it up soon. I loved ME1 (played it like 4 times back when it was new) and just started a new playthrough again the other day, this time as a Soldier instead of Sentinel (my previous character). ME2 looks so much better though based on these videos. =D

+Onesimo Serna Jr. THE VANGUARD LOOKS MORE INTERESTING AND COOL BUT IT IS NOT THE BEST ..I think no one is the best actually ..you just have to play with that you are more interested .
soldier and Adept are my 2 favourites as I love using the weapons and I love making things fly with biotic abilities too but I've got to say I'm enjoying playing as all the classes playing as a vanguard at the moment didn't think I'd enjoy it that much as I generally prefer to keep my enemies at a distance but it's proving to be just as much fun as the other classes in it's own way charging into targets and blasting them with a shotgun like the krogan tend to do

Im stuck between vanguard and sentinel... I was vanguard in ME1 but it seems like they replaced the lift/warp/barrier for biotic charge. it's kind of the opposite of the play style I used in ME1 where I would use biotics to control crowds and then go in with the shotgun

Haven't played Mass Effect yet (just got it in the mail), but this video makes engineer sound amazing. But vanguard, sentinel, infiltrator (Snake!!!) and adept all sound awesome as well. Even soldier sounds dope. How do you choose?

having alot of fun with engineer even tho i heard its the least popular class in the game, i tried it and its really fun
yeah sentinel for diversety, or it will be solider for the cool ammo types.

@aurumer nah i think its just a wrong image. Its the achievement notice, but its showing the renegade thing, hes not really getting renegade points
When i used to unlock stuff after upgrading, it used to show a paragon sign.
i have some questions.
1, can you do replay with allur items and powers wen completing the game.?
2 what is maxx level?
3 when you are at the collecter ship in the trap, how much of the main mission have you then completet? %

Ohh i have a question to help me. Do u guys prefer biotics or tech powers? I love throwing and lifting people,but hacking the battlefield seems dopee. Some please respond!
Definitely they did a amazing work. In the one, soldier and adept was the strongest class, be more weak the rest. Here each of all is pretty nice. Is true that vanguard was the most attractive to be the most dynamic, but not the best, mostly after some new friends on Mass Effect 3, where could make your best attack in your dead. Adepts was struggling also fight again this new friends, so in the Mass Effect 3 probably infiltrator would be the best (due to be invisible and run xD), following with sentinel and engineer.
Vanguard! I always go "roar" when I use charge ;D
@UKCowboy74 Good news! In ME3 it looks like you'll be able to carry any type of gun on any class. They mentioned it in an interview.
The idea is that, say, Soldiers can carry 4 guns. Some classes 3, the "caster" types (adepts, sentinels) will only be able to carry 2. At least, that's the latest news on it.
It's funny, I've played Mass Effect trilogy multiple times and I've never once played a class other than soldier all the way through. But this time I've decided to play the game as a sentinel, that way I can try both biotic and tech abilities and whichever I like more, I'll play that pure specialists next(Engineer or Adept).
can you change your class if youve ben playing the game already?? i really want to try tht adapt class but i dont wanna lose my level- level 33 sentinel
@JSpycer I would suggest Vanguard because of the mix between soldier and adept, you can still use combo as Pull Field to pull many targets and shockwave right after to sent them flying up, but against big ones you have the charge for powerful attacks or tactical retreat ;)

OMG! Thank you! I thought i was the only one to notice that. Yeah i agree, this really bugs me as soldier powers arnt sopposed to be anything like engineer powers as engineers are soppost to be tactical and bring down defences and the soldier is soppost to be for brute force but however the soldier is actually one of the best classes at bringing down defences because of his disrupter ammo (overload) and incenidary ammo (incinerate). Its unbalanced how that most most of the combat moves are...
im playing me1 atm and have me2 installed ready to be played. im infiltrator in me1 and i love the marksman pistol skill combined with commando im almost casting it continuously. does me2 still have that for infiltrators? the continuous marksman for pistols? limited ammo may be a pain too..
@HarpyTV In the beginning it is restricted but you can get one later just not a revenant.
@PMexyK123 I forgot to mention, sentinel gives you the most options. You can level up your abilities to focus on tech OR weapons, and you get biotics either way with throw.

@amdorPL well if you look closley at the hud on the adept trailer it looks NOTHING like the original game, so it must be that they didnt have the achievment picture and instead just put in the renegade picture untill the were finnished
I want to play the game in a way so that I feel that it's not a shooter as much as I can(did I just make sense?).
Anways, I'm therefore doubting between vanguard/engineer/adept.
But I also hear things like you gotta unlock shit first when you play trough the game for the 1st time(whut?).
Can some1 tell me whut to do 0_o.

ive played through as male paragon infiltrator and female renegade vanguard on ME1 and i have no idea what to pick here for the female renegade

I meant to say just ammo, and one thermal clip gives you only like one or two shots. Also how can you beat the sentinel, with extra armor that soaks up a good amount damage and annihilates every enemy nearby? Dont forget that the sentinel can take down every defense and then take out his enemies with biotic and tech powers

I beat the Mass Effect 2 as a soldier, if i start a new game and beat it as an adept will i get the achievement of beating Mass Effect 2 twice

in mass effect 3, infiltrator is most certainly the best class. But in me2, sniper ammo is harder to find, and the cooldown for cloak is very high. In me3 you're basically invisible the entire time

I know that, I've played through as Soldier, Adept and Infiltrator already, but it looks like that's what's happening in this vid - every time the Adept gets a kill he gets a 'Renegade Increase' message.
I picked the soldier since I love shooting and man I love my Raven. Though after looking at all the powers other classes have, I'll have to give them all a shot :P
should i choose infiltrator , soldier or adept ? i like the sneak skills, but i also like to shoot and try the guns , and i love the powers of the adept...

Can all the classes use all the weapons? Cause I really want to use the assault rifle, and the only 2 i've seen use it are the Adept and the Soldier.

I know, on insanity even when you have shield and armor breaking abilities and the right squadmates, it takes a long time to take down shields and armor, then when the enemies are "naked" your powers don't really matter anymore because you can kill them in a couple of shots anyway :/
I'm not sure whether I like my infiltrator or sentinel more. The infil has super high damage with an assassination cloak widow headshot whereas the sentinel's immortal with assault armor and represents my favorite spec in games by being a jack.
I allready completed it as a Sentinel and I'm woundering what you think I should play next? I'm thinking of an adept because I like biotics.
I'm finally playing the mass effect series thanks to the legendary edition on playstation. I made it through ME1 as a soldier. Now that I'm on ME 2 I can't decide what class to play. They all seem fun. I'm mostly leaning toward soldier, vanguard or infiltrator. I've played all the way up to omega on them to get a feel, watched many videos like this one and still can't decide. If anything, watching these have made it harder to choose. I've started the game over like 6 times or more now. Any suggestions? Should I stick with soldier or try something new?
I feel you bro. I started 2nd mass effect on vanguard expert difficulty and i dont feel good about it. In 1 mass effect vanguard were much more stronger and versitiable. I started new game as sentinel and it feeling great.
Classes have some super cool unique powers, its always hard to choose. Wish i could just build my own class by choosing like, 5 powers.

I haven't played ME2 yet but in ME1 I had a Sentinel that I got to level 60, it got kind of boring after awhile only using a pistol and not having any of the big biotic powers like singularity, but I played it on Insanity too and I was pretty much couldn't be killed with barrier and everything up, I mean the enemies didn't die very fast on Insanity but I didn't die either, if that helps any. Not sure how ME2 is though I haven't gotten it yet (zomg I'm a loser I know)
soldier is for true badasses.
a lot more satisfying to say your the best when all you have is your guns.
even if i can pick up bullets i lose them way too fast + i like the fact that you trow them away :D
"We've improved biotic powers" Then why do shields now block everything? It doesn't even make sense in context of the codex entries.
what was the asalt rifle that the soldier was useing ?
@Vincent13 The Engineer has Incineration which is a good against Armor and is decent on Barriers. Plus even if it's leveled to Heavy Incineration, it'll still burn more than one target.

i'm going for my second playthrough of this game, which should i go, infiltrator, or adept?
I beat both ME1 and ME2 with soldier and vanguard. Soldier was nice, especially in mass effect 2 and vanguard was even better. I want to try a new class so I can have an all paragon game for me3. I am leaning towards Adept or Sentinel. LOVE Biotics, and a good submachine gun will do the trick for me. I was nevver a tech expert so I might want to try Sentinel, but Adept just looks like pure fun. Not really interested in Infiltrator or Engineer, but any tip or advice will be helpful.
@Fomarl The heavy weapon with the nuclear symbol on the side... It's pretty much a nuke firing gun
I started the series with ME2 and my first playthrough was as a Soldier which would have been boring if it wasn't my first ME experience. I just finished with Infiltrator which was pretty fun, I would take a squad of snipers and clear rooms very quickly. Going to try a playthrough as a Vanguard next,
@zeldadude18 Ok so maybe i rephrased that a little badly but lets think about it. ME3 has been in production for a while so the engine will have its bugs sorted out. ME2 has been out for almost a year so all hte bugs with ME3 engine will be ironed out so there we go. Glitches will be to a minimum.

@bpw3464 can't go wrong on either of them - i'd recommend playing as a soldier cause they're just so damn strong and so damn fun but Sentinel gameplay is also very interesting
I use the soldier through all three. mostly because I'm practically tanking and soaking up alot of the damage for Garrus and Tali
How do adepts fight enemies with shields/armor/barriers?

Are they being shown gaining renegade points every time the Adepts make a kill? O.o that strikes me as odd.
@ImSuckk yea, but im pleased as it is. for me they've just made improvements cuz i think it was a bit to much at the first one. there were sooooo much to spend points on and so many attacks, i didnt even use 70% of them, but now i pretty much use them all

@StallioN0of0MeadoW The soldier side of vanguard seems almost unnecessary. An adept has so much more biotic power and a good pistol fills all your gunning needs anyhow. Charge is cool, but I find it frustrating to use it and totally expose myself and end up dying.
I played as a Soldier the first time around, so I'll probably play a soldier again, just for consistency.
However, I'm glad there's some variety this time-I'll probably give them all a try, at least.

Ahh the engineer it was so much fun hacking and throwing my drone to harass and detonate combos.
