Was more funny than surprising to be honest, when I had to speak to Leliana it was like we didn't like each other plus the option to break up wasn't there so I had to reopen a previous save and then make her leave the group.

I got the jealousy conversation with Leliana when I was romancing Zevran but really high friendship with Leliana. I'm all "Uhh, I thought we were just having girl talk. I'm sorry...I guess?" One of the main reasons I never romanced her is because it's glitched all to hell.

Yeah, she does that when her approval is very high and you meet all the prerequisites for her romance, even if you never flirt with her. She has the most difficult conditions to meet for any romance, so if you meet them, the game assumes you are trying to bang her.

You've got mods that will remove jealousy from your partymembers. Mayby it ruins the experience for you since it takes away a bit of the realism but its worth a try.

Testament to the great voice acting by Corrine Kempa, I suppose.
It’s like in mass effect 1 with Liaras romance: one scene she’s asking whether you feel the same and there’s three options: one saying you want to be together basically, one where you just want to be friends, and the other where she says along the lines of, ‘I thought we had something between us. Or was I wrong about that?’ And you say she was wrong, but that still classes as initiating the romance. Bloody stupid lol
I'm gay and I romanced Leliana. She was (aside Alistair) my favourite character. Even when jealous, she has that bit of compassion and care for others and not just herself.
It would had been interesting to see difference between Sten and Iron Bull as romance partner. I can see Sten open up romantically in private while being serious amongst everyone else with slight sense of humor. Though , I would prefer Dwarf romance with Sten.

When I played through this game for the first time, I started a relationship with Morrigan. She's not exactly marriage material, but she offered no strings attached whoopie and the world was ending, so why not? When I met Leliana, I wasn't super interested until I got to know her and she's just a sweeter, more pleasant person. When I started pursuing Leliana, suddenly our no strings attached arrangement got a whole lot of strings. I give Dragon Age credit for accurately depicting what it's like to date THAT goth girl.

@@Mr-Noro DA:O rose to number 1, #2 is Witcher 3, #3 is Dark Souls, #4 is Persona 4 and #5 is Nier Automata. #1 used to be Skyrim, but I fell out of love with it and cant rank it that high anymore. I keep trying to comeback to it but I always lose interest after a while. Morrowind is also a superior RPG to Skyrim. Hadnt tried it 5 years ago but ranking it would be hard as modern aspects and conveniences makes me enjoy Skyrim a bit more, despite knowing that Morrowind is a better game. I dont remember what was number 2 back then anymore... best guess would be either A Link to the Past or Fable:TLC. I still enjoy those games, but the ranking 5 years ago was mostly due to nostalgia alone. Fable is still the best Fable game(which is not saying much) and the only nintendo console I ever had was my now dead gameboy, so my other Legend of Zelda experience was Zelda 1 on emulator which is not that high of bar to cross. And since we are on the topic of RPG and emulations, I also tried Chrono Trigger during these 5 years, which is a fantastic game. Without a doubt my favourite 2D game. And it will probably stay that way as I rarely look out for 2D games as I like 3D more. but on the other hand, the 2D games I tried are often high quality(Check out Hyper Light Drifter!) and I havent tried Secret of Mana(on Emulator as I heard the remake is not as good as the original) yet and I still need to finish Undertale. I bought last summer but my busy schedule and playing in my free time, Persona 4 or The Nonary Games I also bought during that Steam sale kept me quite busy. Thanks of making me go this small trip down memory lane.

How do I activate these concersations? The doesn't seem to be in camp and my approval to all characters are high with Morrigan romance, but there's no sign of this conversation.
There are two love arcs that have the best payoffs in the story. One is female Warden and Allistair. He is a lost soul who doesn't even believe in himself at the start, despite everything he has going for him. As the Warden player you not only build his confidence but push him to be more, give him reason keep fighting, and rise to the occasion he is most needed. It's a real kingmaker playthrough and very satisfying story. The affection route with Morrigan here is as a best friend, as she finally opens up and finds someone she can be close to after a life of solitude. Meanwhile, she and Alistair gradually go from loathing each other to sarcastic insults to just friendly teasing throughout the game. It makes it truly painful when she sleeps with him because nobody involved wanted it, but it saves both Wardens in the end. The other of course is male Warden and Morrigan. The sort of forbidden wild girl who is a truly bad influence. Many companions urge caution, if not outright suggest she will be like her mother and drain your life force like a succubus. Though Morrigan scolds your attempts at altruism, in reality she slowly allows herself to feel and give affection, coming out of the brutal conditioning of Flemeth. If you listen to your companions and common sense and go with Leliana, Morrigan will be devastated. You can actually re-direct the route back to her by completing her companion quest later on, and I think this is strong emotional development for both characters deciding to follow their hearts despite all circumstances and others' opinions in the end.
How to have dialogue with Leliana where it is said that we "discuss" with Morrigan every night in the tent? ^^ Because I just have the dialogue where she asks us to choose one or the other...
+kalliskivike I've downloaded a mod for that, it's just a small change but makes a large difference. You can't use it together with face mods though...

when i was romancing Zevran in 2nd play, i didn't approach Alistair at all when he would ask to chose between him and Zevran so i waited till the landsmeet for Alistair to forget about my warden without doing the rejection part myself

It’s like in mass effect 1 with Liaras romance: one scene she’s asking whether you feel the same and there’s three options: one saying you want to be together basically, one where you just want to be friends, and the other where she says along the lines of, ‘I thought we had something between us. Or was I wrong about that?’ And you say she was wrong, but that still classes as initiating the romance. Bloody stupid lol
This game does make it a lot easier to handle than most.
I'm gay and I romanced Leliana. She was (aside Alistair) my favourite character. Even when jealous, she has that bit of compassion and care for others and not just herself.

When I played through this game for the first time, I started a relationship with Morrigan. She's not exactly marriage material, but she offered no strings attached whoopie and the world was ending, so why not? When I met Leliana, I wasn't super interested until I got to know her and she's just a sweeter, more pleasant person. When I started pursuing Leliana, suddenly our no strings attached arrangement got a whole lot of strings. I give Dragon Age credit for accurately depicting what it's like to date THAT goth girl.
Listening to this without looking at the screen makes it sound like leliana is completely insane and just talking in one continuous stream of babble about every person around her

#1 used to be Skyrim, but I fell out of love with it and cant rank it that high anymore. I keep trying to comeback to it but I always lose interest after a while. Morrowind is also a superior RPG to Skyrim. Hadnt tried it 5 years ago but ranking it would be hard as modern aspects and conveniences makes me enjoy Skyrim a bit more, despite knowing that Morrowind is a better game.
I dont remember what was number 2 back then anymore... best guess would be either A Link to the Past or Fable:TLC. I still enjoy those games, but the ranking 5 years ago was mostly due to nostalgia alone. Fable is still the best Fable game(which is not saying much) and the only nintendo console I ever had was my now dead gameboy, so my other Legend of Zelda experience was Zelda 1 on emulator which is not that high of bar to cross.
And since we are on the topic of RPG and emulations, I also tried Chrono Trigger during these 5 years, which is a fantastic game. Without a doubt my favourite 2D game. And it will probably stay that way as I rarely look out for 2D games as I like 3D more. but on the other hand, the 2D games I tried are often high quality(Check out Hyper Light Drifter!) and I havent tried Secret of Mana(on Emulator as I heard the remake is not as good as the original) yet and I still need to finish Undertale. I bought last summer but my busy schedule and playing in my free time, Persona 4 or The Nonary Games I also bought during that Steam sale kept me quite busy.
Thanks of making me go this small trip down memory lane.

I have over 1000 hours in Skyrim, also played Persona 4 and tried Nier Automata (unfortunetly my pc is not good enough for it, so I couldn't really play it, but I will as soon as I upgrade my pc), and I just bought The Witcher 3 (at least this one runs well in my pc) so I'm only missing Dark Souls, but I'll keep an eye on it

There are two love arcs that have the best payoffs in the story.
One is female Warden and Allistair. He is a lost soul who doesn't even believe in himself at the start, despite everything he has going for him. As the Warden player you not only build his confidence but push him to be more, give him reason keep fighting, and rise to the occasion he is most needed. It's a real kingmaker playthrough and very satisfying story. The affection route with Morrigan here is as a best friend, as she finally opens up and finds someone she can be close to after a life of solitude. Meanwhile, she and Alistair gradually go from loathing each other to sarcastic insults to just friendly teasing throughout the game. It makes it truly painful when she sleeps with him because nobody involved wanted it, but it saves both Wardens in the end.
The other of course is male Warden and Morrigan. The sort of forbidden wild girl who is a truly bad influence. Many companions urge caution, if not outright suggest she will be like her mother and drain your life force like a succubus. Though Morrigan scolds your attempts at altruism, in reality she slowly allows herself to feel and give affection, coming out of the brutal conditioning of Flemeth. If you listen to your companions and common sense and go with Leliana, Morrigan will be devastated. You can actually re-direct the route back to her by completing her companion quest later on, and I think this is strong emotional development for both characters deciding to follow their hearts despite all circumstances and others' opinions in the end.
I love how Leliana fills up half of this video alone.

Because I just have the dialogue where she asks us to choose one or the other...
theres one thing that bothers me about these characters...are those teeths lol, its hard for me not to notice them...
+kalliskivike I've downloaded a mod for that, it's just a small change but makes a large difference. You can't use it together with face mods though...

when i was romancing Zevran in 2nd play, i didn't approach Alistair at all when he would ask to chose between him and Zevran so i waited till the landsmeet for Alistair to forget about my warden without doing the rejection part myself
