I find it amusing that the american commercials are all actor-focused, while most of the japanese commercials mostly show people actually playing the game/screencaps.
I like the Japanese Yellow commercial because I don't even need to understand what Meowth is saying to know that he's ranting about not being able to catch that damned Pikachu. It's all in the caracter animation.

Remember, in Japan, they also marketed the game to adults... so some of those ads look better for us now that we are older... Japan also had the ones where there was some character focus until it cut to the game preview...
