Hi kevin, Received mine yesterday and installed it this morning. Easy install and works great. Great design, much much easier than the stock setup. Thank you.
I think the tab on the lever needs to be at the end not so close to the pivot point its difficult to open this and yes I have it nice and loose even tightened it to see if taking some play out would help its difficult to open
Appreciate the feedback! If you're having trouble I recommend reaching farther in to the actual curved inner piece and pushing on that to pop it out. Moving that farther out it needs to sit a bit farther out and higher risk of contact during big wheelies and whatnot. Try that other technique and see if it helps you!
@@OGPAPERBOY77 I’ll make an updated video to show you the alternate technique, additionally make sure to push up on the battery tray as the pressure is what keeps it locked and what will prevent you from sliding it open. A little upward pressure does wonders.
@@kevin_fine i pressed very hard and still had no luck it was stuck I had to use to the pliers to break it free I ended up taking it out for now I will try again with next video
@@kevin_fine well I figured it out I had screwed it in too tight up against the mounting location and that was locking it up it I backed out the screws and rescrewed them back in and it gave it the slack needed to release the lock when pressing the battery box inward But still locking it in place as intended Thank you!
Haha I'll take that as a compliment, thank you! I'm a mechanical engineer so I design things pretty regularly to start (I'm not perfect but the repetition helps), I used a 3D scanner to start, Bambu labs X1C for rapid prototyping, and then transferred the final design to my Formlabs printers for high strength and durability.
Watch the latest video on V2 of the setup! It is for those who are doing races or want to be 100% sure it’ll never come unlatched during driving. Meant to act as a spring to keep the latch shut. Hook it around the arm and the side of the piece to have it spring loaded shut.
I went to your website and the Etsy website to order one of these latches and both websites said they were sold out of them. Do you plan on making more of these, and if you will, when might these be released again?
Hey thanks for the comment, yes I’ve got a partial metal version that I’m releasing in the coming weeks to improve durability. I will drop a new video here when they are out. Thank you for your patience!
Hello, I really like this design but it has not been as durable as the original clipped design. I broke this clipless latch in a single session, but it was from me landing onto pavement 20-30 feet up in the air. I have done the same with the original clip, and the worst that happens is the clip kind of bends.
Hi i am interested in a battery box that can hold a 3s battery for the promoto i think its wide enough but nweds 1cm more depth if you can you be a life saver you can even send me the cad file to get it printed
This thing is awesome I hated that pin setup and this has made it so much easier to put a battery in it
Thanks for comiing up with this! The original pin clip was a pain in the butt!! I received mine yesterday and will be insalling this tonight.

Nice idea but unfortunately postage to the UK cost more than than the clip itself 😲

I had the same issue I have to use pliers to unlock it and feels like Im going to break it. I made sure to follow the instructions and suggestions.

How did you manage to come up with a design so fast, that works?

What are the three rubber O-rings for inside the package?

@@kevin_fine Sounds great. I can't wait to get one and try it out.

I designed this, but you can purchase it from the links in the video description! Can also find it at AMain Hobbies.

Use a slim 3S pack. Hobby King has the slim 3s Rhyno packs that fit.
@FarmerFpv already found some that works thanks
How come everyone is saying this is so hard to get. I have 2 and if I want 2 more I can literally go the my local economy shop and cop 2.
