- In this episode of the Guru podcast, we have the founder of one of the biggest and most successful fishing tackle giants in the industry, David Preston from Preston Innovations.
In this podcast, David spoke about the entire journey behind Preston Innovations. We discussed the very early days of the company, all the way through to the inception of some of their biggest products, right down to his decision to sell the company and move on to new adventures.
Furthermore, we found out what he’s been up to more recently with his new campaign, Fjuka Baits, and lastly, we also find out a little bit about his own fishing as well!

What an interesting interview, we can learn so much from David’s experience’s. What an honest and genuine man. My granddaughter has dyslexia, so I can understand just what David has been through. Brilliant and so interesting in many ways.

Absolutely riveting interview, fantastic story and I really love the way Matt brings out the humanity and humility of his guests. Please keep doing this sort of content, it shows that everybody no matter who they are have had difficult times in their lives and have overcome them, what a great example for the fishing community, even though it's marketing it's not in your face and I like that, very original, well done guru⭐⭐⭐

Fascinating listen. My first memory of Preston innovations from back in the day was the diamondeye. I’ve never known the history behind the company. For 24 hour daylight fishing David should have picked one of the Scandinavian countries as his venue for 24 hour daylight in the summer 😁

Dave was the first I saw carp fish on my local pool, and I also remember the seat box legs he made Duncan at Rid and Gun had the first pair I saw
Inspirational podcast 👍🏻 Great insight not just Davids journey in development of Preston but how he’s learned to adapt with his mental health and disability’s something that’s hard to explain and also having to do things out of his comfort zone. Fishing is great for mental health I’m also a suffer with anxiety social anxiety but just that escape to the bank definitely gives you that release mentally.
