10 minutes later: Immediately teleports back to entrance, then backtracks instead of teleporting back.
I like the new change to Moldorm's fight. The cracked floors fill up part of a pit that would send you down into the skeleton room so that it's even *less* frustrating than his ALttP incarnation but making its tail invulnerable for the first few times you hit it is a nice touch to keep you from just jumping and flailing your sword.

It was amazing on GB. I think the reskin is crap, they make it obvious it's a dream. If they made it look less obvious then it would've been a lot better. It's from the same guy who made MM, and MM gave a good MF ending. This is forseeable start to finish.

This is not how it looked in my head when I played it on the gameboy, lol. I visualized it more like Breath of the Wild, with a massive beautiful world, actual 3D, and not this toy-like art style. Needless to say, this remake didn’t do much for me 😔 still a good game though!

Not many remakes make me want to go back to the original, but Link’s Awakening for Switch accomplishes this unique feat.

Link's Awakening was my first and still favorite Zelda game. The new reboot looks amazing so far and incredibly faithful to the original. Gonna be fun watching you discover it for the first time!
One thing I find amusing is most of the mechanics you keep calling "standard Zelda" first debuted in this game.
I didn't play the old one,so I may pick this one.
The zeldas on 3ds are much more real life experiences, a lot better in my opinion, these new ones...they just seem wrong to me.

Poor Zack's played modern Zelda for so long that the idea of walking into a dungeon and _not_ being able to do everything is completely alien to him. Poor soul.
From what I remember that's how it is in most Zelda games actually. I don't remember having to go back to dungeons in Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, or Twilight Princess unless I missed something the first time. I can't remember if I did in Skyward Sword tho, maybe

The first Zelda I won't buy immediately in the last 15 years...it's cute but doesn't look like a must have for me especially after Botw...and so many games on the Switch it's crazy

One thing this game does is that it combined the "rooms" into big rooms. In the original you sort of went screen by screen.
Hence why some grass grows back, and enemies are "in the room" but not counted towards the chest. (Because technically it's a different room)

I am recently going back and watching this series again. I got sooooo much nostalgia from this game. I remember pre ordering this on amazon and coming home from the school and finding it sitting on my bed. Me and my best friend played this while we talked to each other about how far we had gotten. I wish we could go back............
