Yeah I never did understand why more people didn't use the heck out of those ziplines. They are just about all I ever fabricate in the world, and they save you so much time. It takes a little bit of work at first to make your zipline network, but after you get it, it more than makes up for the time spent.

I remember my ass climbing those frozen mountain to install one of these. very helpful in the cold snowy area. since the coldness corrodes the container faster. one of the challenge is maintenance. it will cost a lot of materials.
I prefer a mix of highway & zip lines. The bad part of highways is that you spend a lot, on the road, between dead POI. You have absolutely nothing between the Waystation and the Distro North. Nothing. An Incinerator that you'll never use and a Mule Camp with scarce resource (low benefit). The chiral crystals farming point, next to the Incinerator, is good, ngl, but that's it. A 5-7 min drive for a spot that regenerates every 48h.
Started the game a week ago and i've placed zipline only where the truck can t go (BT spots and mountain). I m aslo never upgrading ziplines that are right next to a prepper because it's cheaper to replace them and since im 20 meters away from crafting them its easy to replace them.
@jarhead2808 you should always repair the ziplines that aren't yours (and you're using often), anyway. But if you're managing the bandwidth easily with that strategy, good for you. 🙂
