Amadeo Rossi M518 .22LR revolver. A poor man’s Smith & Wesson 617? It’s really good.

    Very cool rossi, the stocks are in nice shape looks like it was taken care of. I picked up a rossi 88 a few years ago , similar to a smith model 36. I need to get a double action 22 revolver, I have single actions and semi automatics.

    You are correct! Just shot my first snubby that I own. A Taurus 85 built in 92 or 93. Deep bluing and the action seems nicer than my new 686. I was pleasantly surprised. Got it on the big auction site for a decent price and sometimes the pictures don’t tell the whole story. Got lucky

    Nice. I have 2 older Rossi wheelguns, a full sized 357 and a 38 snubbie. Solid guns for the money. I'd love to find a .22lr Rossi like yours to add to my collection.

    I have an old (90’s) Taurus model 66 6” barrel. Did an action job. It’s been a great revolver although I’ve rarely run full boat .357 through it. I’ve kept it simple with 38 special and plus p. I feel like my late 80’s model 686 and my early 70’s model 19 are much nicer guns. JMHO. Great video as usual and it looks like a great rimfire.

    I have the Taurus equivalent with a 6" barrel. The front sight is canted from the factory and the rear sight can't make enough adjustment to sight in. The double action pull must be around 18 lbs. Other than that, it functions OK.

      @PassivePortfolios 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@crankygunreviews I sent it back to Taurus and got it back 3 months later with the same canted front sight. As for the heavy double action, I tried a lighter spring from a Model 85 and got light firing pin strikes which resulted in misfires. I may try to bend the front sight myself, maybe that will help.

    while I am not really a fan of Taurus these days , a long time ago when they really paid attention to their quality I bought a nice stainless M85, so naturally when I saw the stainless M94 3 inch sitting in the gunshop one day I had to buy it. it is a really nice 9 shot 22LR. I also got a blued M941 in 22 magnum ( 8 shot) which comes out with my S&W M351PD (7 shot). these are really nice guns. but when I bought my Taurus 9 shot M94 ultralite stainless, well what a load of CRAP. right along with my M85 and M817 stainless ultralites. and yes I sent them back. and no, they did not fix them. they said there is nothing wrong. so buyer beware, Rossi is now Taurus. before that Rossi had good guns. anyone who has a nine shot 22 can get speedloaders from HKS they are the model 22HR.
