The build up at the start was very smooth and then the actual theme comes in and you immediately feel the urgency and dangerousness of it all just wash over you. Very intense and very cool.
I'd totally play all these expanded themes in an MSU hack with MMX3 Project Zero if they will be all finished someday. This is amazing work right here, I literally think these are the definitive versions of the original tracks. I hope you'll keep going and eventually remaster all the songs from Mega Man X3.
I set a rule for myself that I have to do all the "boring" tracks like titles/menus/the prologue before I get to the forts, so those have to come first
Love to see this track get more tense action than the one in the original. Maybe you can do either the Dr. Doppler Stage Boss theme, Sigma's Battle 1st, or one of the Doppler Stages? Those are the ones I'm choosing to see which one gets the most interest.
My Favorite boss track in the first 3 games, probably the entire X Trilogy, its very intense and lets you know you are in for a tough fight (even though thats not entirely the case in game but still). Fantastic job!

The biggest problem with X3's soundtrack is how flat and repetitive it is; X1's soundtrack had a lot more jumping around in pitch, and yet the only complaint I hear against the X3 soundtrack is the instruments. Composition is far more important. You can have a good song that's good composition and bad instruments but not bad composition and good instruments. The original version of this song compared to the X1 boss battle is a great microcosm of this problem. X1's boss battle is much livelier and CATCHY.

After I started listening to the boss music and the introduction, I like this better than the original.
I like the feel of this expanded version, feels like it should be used in the last boss battle against Sigma in the game.
