Hello, my lovely StarCrafter II players. I made a build order for this guide on spawning tool! ( lotv.spawningtool.com/build/110342/ ) Also, if you're not aware of the SALT mod, I highly recommend you look into it, especially if you're a beginner. It's fantastic for practice. I hope you enjoy!
A cute advice I got back in WoL which still stayed with me even in Master in HotS and LotV: You build as many Pylons as many bases you have. You are on 1 base? --> Build 1 Pylon at a time You are on 2 base? --> Build 2 Pylons at a time You are on 3 base? --> Build 3 Pylons at a time
huh. I just listen to "you must construct additional pylons" 5 times over before I bother to build like 20 of them. Your way is probably better though :p
In the overview text it says that the 15th Probe should be rallied to build the Gateway. In the VOD it's actually the 13th Probe (the 1st build Probe that's rallied to the main ramp and built the pylon). Guess it's just a minor mistake in the text. However, thank you for this awesome guide and explanation! @PiG
really late here, but i still use these when i come back to play SC2, the first probe rallies to the ramp places a pylon goes back mining, then the 2nd probe out after the first (so 3rd probe) rallies to place gateway, walks back and places gas, the overview is correct
I am an off-and-on player but i'm just curious, the last time I played my general gold-level-Macro-snowball plan was Stalkers and Immortals into High Templars and Archons, what changed that made mass adepts the defacto foot soldier of the Protoss army? Obviously there will be variations based on who you are facing and there are Oracle-Harass and Blink Stalker-centric strategies, but i'm really interested to see the Adept as the "hey noobie, build this and go forth" unit.
Well they're not... as PiG said they are an option, I personally open with 2 Stalkers + 2 sentries and then go for Immortal-Zealot-Archon (which is the real "default"). Blink Stalkers have the problem that if you don't have a ton of APM and good micro they aren't that useful, Adepts (specially glaved) are a very good harass unit really potent against workers, while not that good at defending... Neeb has an style (that I love) in which he pushes with 8-10 Glaved Adepts + 1-2 Oracles in PvZ realatively fast and is brutal.
As I mention in the guide, go for whichever unit you prefer, stalkers are very weak unless you have good forcefied and blink micro to go with them, zealots are awesome once you have charge but very weak to things like banelings/mines unless you're good at splitting, adepts are generically well rounded units that don't have the same raw power of zealots but are usually more effective pre-upgrade and have tonnes more utility for harass and mobility.
i have a question, when i click my probes it only shows that i can build a few things none of the robotics facilities or anythign like that how do i fix it?
Ehm can you explain why the second gas is so late? It's reasonable if you assume a rush is coming, but with such a delayed second gas dont you limit your tech? As a sidenote im not a beginner, was Diamond about 5-6 months ago but i've been out of the game for a while and now im confused xD
It's a beginner guide, not for diamond players! Beginners make tonnes of mistakes and need to focus on building a solid mineral economy so they can just get up their expansion fully saturated, more pylons, more gates and more units for blind safety to start.
@@PiGstarcraft thanks for the answer. I've been out of the game for a while and though for a moment i missed some obvious meta shift ;) Keep up the good work Piggie, you are the best SC2 content creator out there!
I'm a plat but I can already see some deviations from what I'm expecting to see. Multiple probes queued up (more than two for sure), multiple pylons, incomplete wallin (youd lose against a 12 pool)... etc, etc. Am I completely delusional here or... please enlighten me. I'm not trying to be an ass here - just trying to learn. Also 10 gates off of two bases?! I was pretty amazed to see you're saturating the natural before getting a second gas, nobody else I've seen with beginner tutorials has ever left his 2nd geiser so late. Maybe I'm watching outdated videos? Thanks in advance for your input.
You can feed 10 gates off two bases but thats pushing chargelots or blink stalkers aggression. Not really something I would do every game. I also get my 2nd gas somewhat late, not this late but still... Ps : I'm bad at this game so maybe I'm wrong
I tried this today in all games. But the terrans with normal reaper timing gets to kill some probes everytime. And basicly all terran go for at least a reaper.
make sure your structures are all going down right on time and you chrono your first gateway unit as soon as your core is ready. They should get at most a few seconds of pot shots on your probes before your gateway unit is on top of them.
thanks to you i was able to finally defeat the medium difficulty AI
Good start keep it up!
Any update on your progress?
Diamond and really liked this! great content as always

Adepts are mostly useless. Zealots don’t cost gas and stalkers are superior. Charge and blink make adepts completely useless.

how do i fix it?
That's what I call a good tutorial :)
wat, why didnt u take second gas before second pylon
This is what I was looking for, ideal guide for noob like me 👌💸
Welcome to StarCraft! :)
GOOD STUFFF HOMIE!
yo this vid reks. thanks for all the effort you put into your content duder
7:00 you click 2 idle worker2 and sent the one you leave at the opponent base back without telling why you leave the probe there in the first place 😑
It was to see when the expansion goes down. He does mention that if there isn't one by about 3:30 you should build some extra units.
Excellent videos!

build order code for salt?
yes
thank you

Ctrl+Alt+shift+f10 hotkey xD
PiG really does NOT want to use that hotkey, haha
@@PiGstarcraft okay man, not bad. 12 Korean pro players/10
@@PiGstarcraft so how about alt+f4 as a hotkey?
@@lappo-danilevskysergey3068 tbh I tried to prevent that cause using alt and the f1-f4 is pretty useful. But unfortunately we can't

Do you also recommend new players to strangle themselves by wearing earplugs and headphones at the same time? Lul
