Omg I didn't know you can hover over the supply count to see the number of workers!!!

thanks a lot Pig, i always have problem when to transition from mid to late game? maybe you can tackle that issue? like when to expand to 4th, 5th etc? and what should i focus more during the transitioning?

AlphaStar shows that probe-count is almost never sacrificed. I would say “if you are cutting back on probes you have to have a very specific reason”, rather than, “have a specific reason to make a certain number of probes”. Probe production is a safe way to boost your skill level, if you are able to simultaneously take advantage of the extra money that gives you over your opponent.

Alpha Star utilizes APM spikes over 1k and never misses anything on its minimap.

Building probes is value apm-economy. It requires very little focus. Stopping production is kind of 'all-in'. At some point the game changes from 'one-attack-games', to "positioning" "harass" "composition" "income".
I can understand what PIG is trying to demonstrate, (for new players) to plan and know and calculate advantages. But I would just say that 9/10 those strategies will lose if they are 'all in' unless they finely tuned.
What PIG is explaining comes down to a concept called "precision", which is not my personal play-style.

There's no right way to play starcraft...going all-in is a great first build to fine tune and learn though because you'll win a lot. Lol.

All-ins will climb you straight up the ladder if you're a beginner and each time you hit a wall you'll learn the transitions, the fine-tuning, the tactics and micro, etc. If you go straight into practicing macro games you won't learn those elements as quickly or as easily...but those other elements you mentioned will mostly not play as much of a role. Perhaps basic micro and tactics is a good first step though.

22 workers per Blizzard with a breakdown:
    16 on minerals
    6 on gas
    Per base
But with AlphaStar we learned really you should do 23 on minerals and 6 on gas for a total of 29. Per base !
Me personally i cap off at 75-100 workers depending on situation.

You should literally never not be making workers.
Attack with 200 supply of workers.
