Can’t help but to see this and think that these film makers were heavily inspired by Inglorious Basterds
That and WWII
Henry Cavill's "sounds like stealth mode's over" cracks me up knowing he's a gamer in his spare time. I just love how polite and *british* he is in this movie. Totally contrasts with how Alan Richson plays Larsen with that "No shits given" attitude haha
Edit: Man Alan Richson is fucking HUGE. I know he's on gear for it, but he was already pretty big before then too
Movies like this are an afront to history and to the men who fought in that war.
This entire scene plays like a multiplayer mission in Far Cry, love it
Why has no one yet had the brilliant idea of packaging a Nazi rampage as a comedy? That's great! There's never been anything like it before and it's not boring at all. This film could start a new genre! Maybe Tarantino will make another film with a similar plot. That would be something! Oh, I'm so excited! Finally something fresh that isn't a remix of a remix of a remix. Oscars incoming!
I mean isn't Inglorious Basterds also a comedy?
@@TheZod00 It's sarcasm
Watched it yesterday.amazing. must watch
So you're just a Mechanic. You were pulled into Military service by the Regime but you've never fired a weapon at anyone and all you do is work on cars at your posting. You've heard there's some kind of Prisoner being held where you're posted, but you're not told anything nor are you involved, you're just a Mechanic.
Then these guys show up.
ANAB
I mean, though break, there is still a literal war going on where no one cares if you are anti-semitic mass murdering monster from SS or a regular farm-hand on his second day in uniform
This had all the satisfaction of clearing a Far Cry base. Loved this movie.
I feel like everyone in the comments is taking this movie way too seriously.
It’s more reminiscent of Rambo or Robocop films where gratuitous, heavy violence against an obvious bad guy is committed.
Sometimes, movies are just meant to be fun and enjoyed.
nah, in rambo and robo there were stakes. this here is just lazy and empty headed. there is a difference. at least for those who appreciate something that's not empty
Except you never really feel the protagonists are in any real danger, they just slaughter their way through hordes of enemies in new and interesting ways.
it's more like a video game set to easy mode.
@@Rendell001 "god mode", not easy mode. and that's the problem.
seeing alan ritchson doing hand to hand combat and pulling out the knife, the whole scene made me think of him as Billy from Wolfenstein. that would be a great movie
The fact that these guys were based on real soldiers makes me wonder what they were like in real life
Nothing like this whatsoever. This is complete bs.
lies bro, i was there and it was just like this
Supposedly Gus March-Phillips inspired James Bond.
The original SAS guys and people like Gus March-Phillips were completely bonkers, I doubt they were this efficient at killing or did this much killing, but those guys were insanely brave and hard men. They were all probably lot smaller, Alan Ritchson and Cavill are like 6' 2" ish and huge, well built, lots of muscles, but not only were blokes back then generally shorter, special forces soldiers and commandos tended to be small wiry guys, as special forces stuff like that involved a lot of walking, covering long distances, survival etc. and having like a 250 pd muscle man who needs thousands of calories a day would be a disadvantage.
@@tajj7 1990s The US Army SF said the ideal male special forces soldier was 6'00 165lb .
4:25 HAD to get that Reacher head butt
How to totally destroy ww2
Tbh when I first saw this scene teaser I thought the buff guy was from the future somehow and these 3 guys are the resistance lmao 😂
