Nolin River Lake - USA Bassin/Kayaks and More Divisional Championship - TOP 10 Finish!

Wrapped up the Kayaks & More Tournament Trail Championship on Nolin yesterday. I was feeling really good about my plan but knew I was going have to find some bigs in order to cash a check and that’s exactly what happened.
I got my limit pretty early in the morning fishing a white fluke at the top of the water column. The fish were suspended over 50+ foot of water. Within the first hour I had around 68” total. I was pumped, but knew this was no where near close. I stayed for a little longer at my starting spot, but then decided to make a run to a few brush piles I found during pre-fishing where I was able to upgrade twice.
After I beat on those brush piles pretty hard I went cranking on bluff walls and ledge where I was only able to upgrade one more time and ended up with 72.75”. Good enough for 8th place and another top 10 finish for my tourny season. I had a really good day of fishing catching ALOT of fish, but just needed the bigs to show and they never did.
Congratulations to all who placed! It was a really fun tourney and it was good to talk to everyone at the awards. It was also great to see some new anglers fish the trail with us this year, we hope to see you next season. I’ll have a tourney video posted soon.
