    he was pound for pound the toughest, most tenacious receiver. He was short, but fought for every jump ball like a junk yard dog.

    Steve Smith is what I love about football. Talks trash and backs it up. Keeps family out of it, and is extremely physical. Just like one of my other favorites Brian Dawkins. Hope you do him next.

    He was an amazing player for his size 5'9" and loved to run his mouth. Wasn't scared to hit and is definitely a Hall of Famer. Even though he was cut by Carolina he stayed in Charlotte and does sports radio segments for the Panthers along with TV.

    BIG PLAYS, BY BIG PLAYERS, IN BIG GAMES!
    My favorite Steve Smith quote

  • @TimWing23
    @TimWing23 6 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    799 yards in 14 games at age 37 is pretty darn good. If he had played 16 games he would've reached 900 yards which would've been real good for a receiver's final season.

    • @TylerLovato
      @TylerLovato 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He was 37 that year

    • @TylerLovato
      @TylerLovato 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The year before when he was 36 he said he was going to retire but he tore his acl week 7 he had 670 yards recieving in his first 7 games and was leading the league in YPG it was going to be his last year but since he got hurt he came back at age 37 . I wish he wouldn’t have torn his acl because he was on pace for a 1600 yard season at age 36 would’ve been insane

    Don't care what anyone says, Steve Smith is a top 3 all-time receiver. What he did on the teams that he did it on; the most conservative, run heavy team in the league year after year with mediocre to awful QBs nearly his whole career; he's a fuckin stud. Led the league in receptions, yards, and TDs on the most run-heavy team in the entire NFL in 2005. Led the league in receiving yards per game in 2008 on the only NFL team that ran more than they passed. The dude was the most exciting, electrifying NFL player I've ever had the privilege of watching. And he's only 5'9. Fuckin love Steve.

    The Panthers made the super bowl in 2003 with an offense based around Steve Smith and Jake Delhomme, and as a Carolina resident and Panthers fan at the time, it wasn't because of Jake Delhomme
