Cleopatra is a perfect example of an "ugly" woman who was so captivating during her life that she's now remembered as beautiful.

yes!! i remember how i had a friend who i just thought was so stunningly beautiful and later i looked back and realized that on a physical level she wasn't as beautiful as i remembered. but she was poised, elegant, interesting, and charismatic. she carried herself so gracefully and her voice was sooo beautiful and sultry. she was definitely the most ethereal person i'd met in real life and i saw her as more physically beautiful because of it. i was fascinated by her and so were several of our mutual friends. we parted on bad terms and haven't spoken in years but i still think about her often and idealize her against my better judgement. a great lesson in the power of charisma.

I love this and you’re definitely spot on about charisma. I’ve met really beautiful women who barely got pretty privilege because they had zero charisma and were generally avoided by people. I’ve met people including women who weren’t conventionally good looking but they were super charismatic and people loved them

Beauty is all perception. Nobody is ugly. Beauty is a made up concept from algorithms and man made. Nobody is ugly. Actually people’s personalities that’s what makes a person ugly

This title is already so comforting. I’m confirmed hideous 1/10, I have no pretty privilege, and I have extreme self loathing etc. I compare myself to everyone I meet. I would love to be able to be captivating or just as interesting without being pretty. i’ve reaped the affects of being an ugly woman for too long.

I agreeee to this 100%. Im attractive but I lacked confidence for many years. Confidence and the ability to hold someone’s attention knock attractiveness out of the park. I’m much more magnetic since I have presence and confidence. I choose words wisely. I let others speak more. I use the power of suggestion. I have opinions but don’t share them forcefully.

Your soo right! I've seen women like this who aren't as physically attractive but have all of those characteristics you mention and men just gravitate towards them. They have that power. I've even witnessed some attractive women who are like this and it made them 10x more beautiful. Love your content btw. New subscriber!

beauty is subjective anyway...across time periods, cultures, even amongst individuals. there are some evolutionary things like symmetry, signs of health, waist to hip ratio in women, but other than that, there is no leg to stand on for the "beauty is objective" crowd. i've heard men say they like thin lips or small eyes (things that are considered "ugly" in mainstream media) and women that like short/husky/pale/etc men. even youth isn't a beauty standard since plenty of older men and women are thirsted over. the red pill crowd values youth in women since they're bordering on pedophilia anyway and a lot of media sexualizes little girls/the idea of being a little girl so people run with that. signs of youth/fertility are also desired by the red pill crowd since they view women as uteruses on legs anyway. sooooo much of what is considered beautiful is rooted in white colonialism/the patriarchy. take it with a grain of salt. a woman maturing/coming into her own/looking distinguished and refined is considered "hitting the wall" when it's BS since i'm the hottest i've ever looked at 31. even the whole "symmetry/signs of health/whr" is subjective since lana del rey and shannon doherty have asymmetrical faces and are considered beautiful. also, some people like the unhealthy look and attempt to recreate it with makeup (pale skin, dark circles, corpsey lips/tim burton aesthetic) and i've heard a woman say she wanted a rectangular body with no curves at all, which i personally found strange, but to each their own). and a lot of fashion models are rectangles or have a VERY subtle hourglass figure. even if you or i have pretty privilege where we are now. we could go to another country and be considered ugly. the only thing that i would consider "objectively unattractive" are deformities/disfigurements. except, of course, for people who have teratophilia.

I don't think anything upsets me more than belittling or discarding women after they've reached a certain age. No man of worth I have ever met has had any negative remarks to make about older women. In fact they value their experience and confidence. Men that do have a problem with women getting older are honestly to be discarded themselves. What a joke. Women who are older and wiser, more self-assured, and unique because they know themselves and the world better. Older women are the shit, I envy their stability and experience.

Theres nothing wrong with trying to be attractive, or trying to enhance your features to be more beautiful. The problem is beauty being the main attraction. It's cheap and replaceable. I always try to advocate (especially for attractive people) to work even harder, because it's so easy to become dependent on looks. Beauty and intelligence should be like bread and butter.
