- in 2016 I recorded the most successful tutorial on TH-cam, How to have the perfect Sound in a Live Facebook and TH-cam Video. The recording was in Mono, because, no sound cards where available in 2016 recording in Stereo.
In this Tutorial i`ll show you how to make a DJ set over Facebook Live Video with a perfect sound in Stereo. And I`ll let you know about news in recording Live Videos on Facebook and TH-cam.

Thanks for the video! BUT! I bought the iRig pro duo, connected everything properly exactly as you did with even the same model phone and did a live mix on Instagram but the sound was still in mono. Any ideas?

Loved it. Been trying to research this lately, and it's been difficult. I do wish you'd have used a Samsung because I have no idea whether the default camera in the Samsung will work the same way (it doesn't take audio from trrs cables through the headphone jack. I had to use app Open Camera, and set it to external microphone to get the trrs to yield mono sound. Yes, mine S10+ does have a headphone jack still.).

Thank you for this video! I have been so frustrated today trying to plug in my iRig Pro Duo to my iPhone 11. But I did it without batteries because the USB on my computer has been enough to power the I rig. Now I will try the set up I’ve been attempting with batteries, because I guess my phone doesn’t power the interface the way my computer does.

Hi Derek! Did you manage to get proper stereo sound while streaming with the iRig Pro duo? There’s still people saying you can only go mono using only channel 1 from the iRig!

Thanks for yout vidéo ! The iRig Duo works well on iPhone but I don't have the stereo on my Samsung Galaxy s20 and S8+. Does anybody have the same problem ?

Have you tried connecting your mixer directly to your iphone or whatever phone you have directly via camera connection kit or same type of adapter. Ios supports almost every usb capable mixer. I am using Allen&Heath 10 channel mixer... No need to buy extra stuff... With your setup I have one question . Have you tried liveatreaming stereo to Instagram ??? Is it stereo. I havent seen anyone able to stream in stereo. I dont know if it is a bug but neither android nor iphone seem to be able to live stream in stereo :(

You're welcome;-) It depends on what I am doing. When I stream to Facebook, I use the Mentions App, but if I just record Videos, I use the iPhone Camera of my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Cheers from Ibiza Max

Hi Max, I actually have a question: Is it possible to live stream on youtube in stereo when using the internal mics of mobile phones only? I know someone who has a Samsung S21 FE phone and makes videos with brilliant stereo audio quality when he records and posts it afterwards on youtube. But when he does livestreams with the same phone everything is just mono. Why is that? He told me he uses just his phone and the youtube app to livestream.
Is there an option or preset to livestream in stereo as well using only the internal mics? Thanks, and great video :-)
Thank you so much for your video! Do you know if this has been tested for Android ? I have an S7 and am very satisfied with the sound but wanted to push it a little further for livestreaming , and especially wanted to see if was possible to obtain stereo on FB livestreaming. One device that was recommended to me is the Roland Go Mixer, which has nice features, but on their own website it says the final result on Facebook livestreaming may be mono anyway (because of Facebook).
I also have mono with my iRig Duo and FB through Android. Did you find a solution ? Thanks.
this irig that has only one input do you use an Rca cable with P2 for a mono adapter?
Hi Claudio, it has two inputs and you can choose between XLR or to mono Jack 6,3 two create stereo sound;-)
what if you just use the splitter from the mixer to a TRRS cable that goes inside the phone? that should work right?
With iPhone no. I don't know by Android or other phones;-)
Are you using the TS or TRS ends to put into the iRig Pro Duo?
i am using TS Cables at the moment and have good result with it;-)

All result in live fb is mono!and the headphone jack is mono. Not Stereo.....
Leider kann ich das nicht bestätigen, ich habe das iRig Stream, und erstens muss man da einige Software dazu kaufen kann ich kein Stereo einspielen obwohl es dafür vorgesehen ist. Ingo grundeinstellung lässt sich kein Stereo aus dem Mono zaubern trotz zugekaufter Plugin für Stereo. Und das was man da simulieren kann ist kein echtes das ist nachbearbeitet und und wird nicht ansatzweise so eingespielt wie aus dem Mixer kommt. Was mache ich falsch?

That's great BUT Facebook still coverts that stereo signal to mono if you go live. Is the a mobile app like OBS to get around this?
You can try the App "Switcher" which i used several times. BUT there is no guaranty because Facebook does a lot of confusing things and blocks music often, mute it or makes it unattractive to stream these days :-(

Then you need definitely an other Soundcard like a Apogee or similar. With the iRig DUO this will not work. Check the iRIG stream as well, maybe this works as well. Cheers

Das funktioniert genauso. Einfach den Audio Out des Xone mit einem Audio Spiltterkabel verbinden. Die eine Seite geht zu deinen Lautsprechern und die andere Seite in die Soundkarte. Bei mir funktioniert am besten das Native Instruments Splitter Kabel;-) Achte darauf, dass Du nur Stereo Kabel verwendest. Du erkennst diese an 2 schwarzen Ringen vorne. I have an IRig 2 and I use a stereo booth output from the mixer with RCA and P10 stereo but I notice that the sound is still mono.
I use an iphone 8 plus with lighting cable.

Hi, the iRig 2 has only a Mono input for guitars etc. Even if you use a Stereo Out with a Splitter, the signal will be Mono. You need to use a Stereo Soundcard, such as a iRig Duo;-9 Hope I could help.

What if you don't wanna record since my Pioneer XDJ-RX will record the mix. I just need clean audio mono or stereo to my Facebook Live feed. I mainly just want clean sound. Recording is not as important. Thanks dude!
I should add that the Pioneer mixer/cdj's has Rekordbox

A irig stream is better proposition and it doesn't need batteries and it's much cheaper
hi I do not think this will work as stereo facebook livestream with android devices as the mic input in android mobiles is mono I tried many different configurations and the only thing which works purley as stereo facebook livestream is to set OBS (you have to copy facebook key etc. on the screen and type it to OBS streaming settings ) on pc or laptop with some basic soundcard with stereo input. I see it works with Iphone but not deffeo with android regards correct me if I am wrong.
Hi there, this might be. I am not into Android Phones that much. But what I did for over 3 years is to record in mono and stream in mono. Because of the reduction of the sound, this worked ok for me on Facebook. But if you want to be more professional, then you need a solution for Android. Hi Aaron, if i listen to my sets later over Facebook on my soundsystem at home, the sound is in stereo. And even if i stream in Mono and get a mono signal, this is pretty much better then doing it over the phone directly ;-) Cheers from Ibiza Max

Hi sir. I’m using presonus itwo. How will i be able to achieve stereo sound on facebook? when i record a video, it’s on stereo but when i go live on fb, it’s not stereo anymore.

Hi, ich kann dir leider nicht sagen, ob alle iRig mit Android funktionieren. Check mal bei Thomann, da steht das immer dabei, welcher funktioniert. Empfehlen kann ich dir den iRig Pro DUO oder den Stream.

@@ibizamusic Hi, ich hab das 11pro und bei der Beschreibung und technischen Angaben, Kompatibilität steht auf deren Seite des iRig pro halt nicht das 11pro, von daher weiß ich halt nicht ob ich es kaufen soll. weiter unten sagst Du, dass es aber dennoch bei mono bleibt, stimmt das?
@@lieblingsstuck1485 Ah OK, ich nutze das Pro DUO - das ist meines Wissens nach, das einzige, dass auch Stereo anbietet. Du kannst aber auch Mono recorden, da dass über die social Media Kanäle ohnehin stark gedrosselt wird. Ich hab das Jahre lang in mono gemacht und dazu, dass ganz einfach irig MIT einem Adapter verwendet. Nur wenn Du die entsprechende Soundkarte dazu hast. iRIG Duo Pro, iRIG Stream oder Apogee (das sind die die ich kenne) ;-) Wenn Du aber "nur" Live streamen willst, dann reicht auch die Mono Variante, da FB das ohnehin extrem runterregelt. Hab ich Jahre lang gemacht, hat auch gut funktioniert;-) Teil während deines Streams in etwa 20-30 Gruppen, dann bekommst Du Plays;-)

Bzgl teilen, also du meinst einmal aufnehmen, speichern und dann teilen?!
Ich bekomme manchmal eine Meldung, das Facebook schreibt, das der Sound urheberrechtlich geschützt ist und ob das mein geistiges Eigentum wäre... Bzw würde auch schon ein Mix gelöscht, weil ich aktuelle Songs gemixt habe, bekam ich auch eine Sperre...
