Very nice narration. Good documentary video. Picture quality at its best. I was a regular devotee of sholingur temples around 25 years before. Since i left abroad i couldn't go to this temple. The time i was visiting this temple there is no maintenance. Now i can see its painted inside and out.
6Am Lalbagh express from Bangalore.. destination-solingur, when you reach the Sholingur station.. Anyone can guide you easily.. Local buses are available directly to the temple..
Pray with devotion. Life will change for good. I am living example. There may be some test in life, but Sholingur Amirthavalli & Yoga Narasimha will never let us down. When we are falling, before we reach the ground, his hands will be there to protect us, I can guarantee.

I am grateful to my forefathers for adapting such historical temple and deity( Sri Lakshmi Narasimha) as our kula deva. Lord Narasimha is symbolic representation of annihilating 'Ego'. When I was young we were encouraged by elders to visit this place every year and we did it till we completed secondary school. Those days we used to visit Thirupathi, Tiruttani and Sholingur in one go. Sholingur was the last part of our Bhakti trip. We had to do this during summer holidays and at each temple we were given head tonsuring(head shaving)!!!. Imagine on a hot summerday climbing up the hill on granite steps(those days in 1960s and 1970s there was no shade) fighting heat under the feet and monkeys on the other. One thing I always remembered about it is despite all that difficulties, when I reached the top the breath taking view from there more than compensated all the hardship of climbing. This is a wonderful video and my gratitude to the creators for getting back all my memories vividly of this Divyadesa temple.
I also visited in 2005 !!! Such a beautiful temple. The temple pond at the bottom of the hill was also full. It had just rained (January). I bathed there and walked up. Spent more than an hour inside the temple. Then I went and visited the anjaneya temple in the mountain nearby. I took the bus back to chennai koyambedu at 6 pm. Beautiful memory.
