Doves and the tinkerbirds call with closed beaks. Got this video this morning of a Red-eyed Dove puffing up its throat and calling with closed beak. Grahamstown.
I've been looking for the exact bird that makes this sound for a while now. xD I've always heard them outside myself, but I was never able to figure out which of the doves outside were singing that specific tune lol

This is such a sweet sound. We mostly take it for granted and rather listen to the more rare ones. I love them around my house. 🌻🌾
