Love my 400ex. Bought it for $1100 last May. Wasn't exactly in great shape either. Did come with a race carb,extended a arms and swingarm. ended up throwing over $10k into it. Not disappointed at all. LOTS OF FUN!!

I looked for a 400 for the longest time they went way too much money for even junk models ended up with a warrior. Little harder to find parts for it but it does good for the kind of riding I do

Our trailer is 16x7. If I were to do it again I would aim for 8 feet wide, it would make maneuvering machines around much easier! I haven’t played with higher resolutions on my GoPros. I would like to upgrade our main filming camera to one that’s 4k capable and then probably make the switch! 👍

That’s a good idea! The 400ex is pretty much stock aside from the pro taper handlebars. I do hope to do some upgrades this winter to both the 400 and Raptor so I can definitely put together some walk around videos with updates in the spring 👍

Hey Pete glad that you got a set of those Obor advents. I'm picking up a set of tires in the next couple of weeks for my Raptor 700 as well. Since you have run the Obor and the GBC XC Masters which ones do you think you like better and how do they compare? And, cool video with the 400. Even the best have an oopsie now and then. Glad your alright man 🤘
I run GBC XCs on my '21 Raptor 700R-SE they are awesome! The Maxxis tires on my Raptor were brand new when I swapped em out (I kept the orig Maxxis meats) .
My 2005 Honda 400ex I recently bought and rode a few times just randomly started clicking today everytime I try to start it. I got it out today was gonna take it for a little spin and sadly just clicking, no crank.
All the modified monsters are cool Pete but I love the 400ex. That looked like a good ride. How soon will it snow there? I’m sure I seen some winter riding on your channel. We are full out winter here now lol. I just bought myself a 2011 Skidoo mxz tnt 600 to have some fun on. 🍻🇨🇦⛄️
The 400ex is the best sport quad ever made for trail riding imo. Easy maintenance, good power, reliable, and relatively cheap. I think they’re the perfect thing to start on or move up to in your age group because they’re powerful, but not Wiley like a 450 is. They’re a little more docile
In this video I have the Rossier Engineering R4 full system but have since upgraded to the R5. I do keep an updated parts list in my most recent video descriptions 👍
Yes if you have your machine registered in MN or have a temporary out of state registration. It's in west central MN. It's not that big but it's a lot of fun!
We may get a Rossier for it, I would like to do a full system. I was also looking at Curtis sparks exhausts.. I’ve always liked the look and sound of those! I plan to have Jay put it on the dyno when we get an exhaust! 😁

If the 12 year old has riding experience I think they can grow into this machine well as long as they can safely reach all the controls and foot pegs. If they're completely new to riding I would recommend looking for a 250ex or Raptor 250 to start out until they have more fundamentals under their belt 👍

@@Davido50 yea the stock tires dont grip for anything here in southern az . After 10 months on them its time for an upgrade. Mine is a 2020 700r.
