Hi Mobius! I really like the content on your channel, and I always listen to it carefully to learn. I believe that the fear you mentioned is common among all poker players, considering the nature of the game and the fact that it's a legal activity but with some legal gray areas in certain countries. Beyond that, I think the podcast's topic is more about learning to stay present and not imagining the worst-case scenarios. After all, it's true that poker is a fantastic game from which some of us make a living, and we have it today, and we enjoy it. What will happen tomorrow? We don't know. I trust that if someone has developed the tools to be a winning player in an activity like poker, they can apply those skills to another activity without any issues.
I heard that Magnus quote you used on that great podcast In Good Company and was so shocked that made me reconsider mindset , worth listening to podcast for those that haven't
That’s very true. Even though I hit home year after year I always struggle with fears of not making enough while I am “still able to”.The pessimist in me tells me that I “won’t be able to “ make money anymore in the future because of XYZ reasons . Doing something for a living but thinking that I “won’t be able” to do it long term is a very grim outlook and puts lots of strain on you for something you do everyday .
Seems like negativity or persimism is part of perception bec of how the mind operates It is a problem solving tool Thus it sees everywhere problems When i am on a run bad or just tilted and go to mma training It always shifts the perception of problems while fighting

Yes, and poker players are natural "problem solvers"
