- This is our 2nd Van Pepper - She is a 1982 Toyota HiAce pop top. We bought her in 2019 and decided to give her a full renovation and we couldn't be happier :D
Introducing our new you tube Channel, ‘The Sand Van’
We are an Aussie/English couple living in the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia. Our dream is to live full time in our van and see Australia, however at the moment we are working full time and travelling as much as we can on weekends and any time off we can book!
Travel along with us and experience our adventures as we live vanlife to the fullest, Everybody does van life differently ,whether is in a converted bus ,RV ,campervan or just camping in a car.
We will help navigate the highs and lows of vanlife showing you campsites ,free camps,wild camps and boondocking.
As we travel we will share our experiences with van life and take you hiking ,kayaking,bushwalking and even magnet fishing.
We will show you handy tips and trips for vanlife ,with general maintenance ,everyday chores,repairs and upgrades to our mercedes sprinter van and our hiace campervan
Also we"ll share the beautiful countryside of australia via our camera lenses and drone footage.
So please join us and our little dog Pablo as we take on the adventure that is van life in "The Sand Van"

you did a great job designing this older van, and adding the new canvas, all the bug screens and fan and potty, kitchen, office, it looks comfortable for short term trips, we want a van for trips, sharing out to my community page

I went to a conference this weekend in a big 12 seat van and it gave me a feel for what it must be like driving around in Pepper! Love all the space

Nice tour of the van love the older model vans better than the newer ones built today cause they are cheaper & don't have the high dollar computer sensors ect & easier to work on than the ones being built today 🙂👍❤️

You're old school van is an awesome restoration/renovation! Seems like an awesome van life vehicle! For the longest, I had considered doing van life vice what I am about to start doing because I think it would be so "freeing". I respect what you all do! Thanks for sharing with us!

The fact that the bodywork and engine are still in great condition for the age, too, is a testament to the craftsmanship way back then. One question: Did you get the engine overhauled at all? Striped down and rebuilt? I really love this and have been thinking about one for the hills. Thanks for sharing. New Subscriber from Stafford England UK 🇬🇧
The engine is all original but we’ve rebuilt the gearbox recently she only has 125000km on the clock so still a baby 🚐😊thank you for stopping by😊❤️🙏
