Beautiful. 67 GTO. Always loved the 67. GTO. Liv your quite the drag racer. Good time. Good speed. Your a natural. At it . Your tempest is one badass car. . keep up the great work. . Love ya videos. . .❤❤❤
I have one all matching numbers, and got order with ram air 4speed, getting ready to sell, 25000 or best offer, only rust is on trunk lid( size of a nickel
Now THAT'S a barn find! Minus the ridiculous knobs and steering wheel...and other "custom" touches. 🙄🤨😑😄 thankfully the original steering wheel and engine parts were in the trunk! Amazing car! I live on the east coast, we don't see cars this nice after sitting so long. That thing is pristine!
I was 13 when that car hit the streets. I thought it was gorgeous then and I still do. There is something powerful yet elegant about that body style that makes it timeless. Well done Pontiac.
Your boyfriend is mightily blessed to have a girlfriend who is so interested in classic cars. And your enthusiasm is infectious. I used to build muscle cars back in the day, so I really like your channel. Subbed.
Great memories! We used to rip around town in these old muscle cars in the early eighties. A guy could easily afford one as young as 17 or 18 years old. I remember having no problem drilling the dash and doors of my '66 Comet to install the latest Pioneer stereo system that we thought sounded better than mankind could ever improve on!
_"A guy could easily afford one as young as 17 or 18 years old."_ I remember those days. Yours truly and virtually all my buddies had a late-1960s/early-1970s supercar because they were AFFORDABLE--really affordable. GTOs, Road Runners, Chargers, SS Camaros, Chevelles, Novas, etc.
670 are the hi performance heads on the front passenger side of block next to timing cover their is stamped into it the suffix code and vin # to decode the engine. There's also the casting number to the left of distributor on the engine block.
In the 70s these were just used gas guzzlers. The period-authentic mods make sense and are kinda charming in a way. No one thought they were defiling a sacred artifact by modding some old Pontiac back then.
BF is a Fremont, California-built car. Smog pump equipped California emisions (pump is in the trunk) standard engine was 335 HP 400 w/360 HP optional. Rally gauges package, likely 4-speed. Factory 8-track!!! Oh, and the round head key is for glove box, console and trunk. Hex head is ignition and doors only.
Frenched Antenna’s , Lake pipes, shaved door handles. We call that a mild custom !! All those things started in the 50’s. Kind of rare on a late sixties ride, but some habits die hard. 😎
I would say the car had 106,000 miles on it, and the lake pipes are hooked to cutouts that can be opened to allow the exhaust to flow through them un muffled and then closed again for the exhaust to flow through the original exhaust for a quieter sound.
Awesome find all respect your old lady has everybody in the garage crying laughing the Mickey Thompson ones the four barrel when she was describing the contents in the trunk you had to be there 😎. Thank you so much..
If the under dash 8-Track is labeled Delco, it was probably factory, or at least dealer installed. Very nice find indeed! Some one spent some serious money, even back then with those modifications. Thanks for sharing this.
Great car, the small custom add ons were not to bad, shaved emblems, door handles, and the sunk antenna were common in the 50s & 60s. The emblem at bottom of front fender is original where its at. The other GTO emblems belong at the back of rear quarter. The small steering wheel is so you can drive with handcuffs on lol !
There been 2 67' lemans for sale on marketplace recently...one 2 hrs north and way way out west. I was on a road trip picking up a car myself this weekend and I'm pretty sure I saw the one from out west on a trailer heading the other way. Definitely was a great project car👍
Nice find. I got a bunch of old cars on my farm in Maine. Mostly Oldsmobile, some 442's, an El Camino and some trucks. None as clean as this goat. Old cars are nice but so are new ones. My current ride is a 21 Challenger Scat Pack WB 6 spd Shaker, 25mpg. Good luck.
Back in 1968 I had the '66 GTO in the same tourquise color. Same interior. Full gauge cluster, same console and a factory wood grain steering wheel. Under the hood was a 389 with factory chrome valve covers and air cleaner. In 67 they went to the 400. Loved that car. It is a shame what was done to this car but it is a survivor and should be restored to its majestic glory.
Nice looking East L.A. Gee-Tea-Ohh …. I put one of those little steering wheels on a 55 Chev Coupe and since it had no P/Steering I almost sliced one of my fingers on a quick turn … Only thing needed on this is Suicide Knob on that wheel …. That is a real nice GTO … thanks 😊 4 the video
Lakewoods, Truespokes, Frenched antenna, shaved door handles & poppers, trick steering wheel, custom knobs, M/T valve covers, Craig 8-track, chromed vent valance. Wonder if was some ones late sixties show car or an seventies cruiser? Maybe some pictures in the glove box. Hopefully the intake manifold gets closed off.
I owned a 66 GTO 389 4 speed and it had white bucket seats with black carpet and headliner and it was a gold color paint that was original. This was around 1974
people would rather see classics rot away than sell it to anyone to get restored..if u don't believe me find some classic cars rotting away and asked to buy them..most will say no i'm gonna fix them one day lol
Very solid car I was hoping that you bought a life long friend that I worked for at one point in my life had a 67 convertible it started out with a Pontiac motor but then had a tunnel rammed big block 427 in it. It was a show car it was in the world of wheels twice.
I know where 3 of those are parked. The guy didn't get rid of ANYTHING. He passed a while back. I bought a 96 Chevy short wide bed with a big block, with 411 gears. Awesome truk
That's a GREAT find. I'd like to know the story behind it. I mean, the odometer doesn't lie but it doesn't seem to match the story that the mechanical evidence under the hood and in the trunk tells. Either the odometer quit working at 06036 or it has rolled over and it's actually 106,036.0 miles on it. In 1967 the odometers only cane with 5 digits so when it gets to 99,999.0 after the next mile it roles over and begins again and eventually gets back to 06,036.0 where we see it know. When I got my 1978 Corvette in 2006 the odometer was at 041,332.0 and I knew just by inspecting the car inside, underneath and under the hood that the odometer couldn't be right. But it was ok because I bought the car to resto-mod it and drive it all over the country. Either way though, that 67 GTO is a GREAT find, thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m sure you guys know Driver side of the engine towards the back underneath the exhaust manifold usually it’s stamped into the block what the engine is (400 )! that should be raised stamped on the block ! That was one good thing Pontiac did to the engines Wow you are Lucky till this day i kick myself for not buying 67 GTO from a guy down the road in 1983 it would’ve been my first car but I stayed clear because people told me the reason why he sold it because it was eating front tires On one side because it been hard at one time but I did end up buying a nice 67 Pontiac Lemans sport I loved it but I had to sell it
I had that same car right out of high school in the mid 70’s. It was a 326 ci with 4 speed but not with that ugly steering wheel. I can’t believe the intake & valve covers are open.🤬 I think I paid around $500 when I bought it. Loved that car! Breaks my heart to see that car sitting in such bad shape.
The Craig 8 track deck is pretty cool! Back in 76 or 77 I bought a Craig 8 track deck like that with 2 speakers for the rear deck of my 67 RS Camaro for the princely sum of $39 plus tax! However I only made $1 an hour back then washing dishes in a restaurant! So even though it seems cheap now not so much back then. If I was you I would make Ben an offer on this car. It is worth the effort and sitting outside with the window open & just a car cover isn't doing it any good either. If I was you I would make that Guy a deal! Oh by the way it is most likely 106,000 miles!
Cool car. Love the 67 GTO's, not a big fan of the custom (?) Modifications though, but I guess that was done a long time ago, when customs were in. And the reason for the tiny steering wheel, was so the driver could drive with handcuffs. Lol. J.k
I had a 1978 Pontiac LeMans with a 455 underneath the hood but check this out it had a real little steering wheel and I have center lines like 6-inch on the front and 15x10s on the back and with that little steering wheel I remember when I test drove it felt like it was sliding on it this foot weird then having a big steering wheel skinny tires on the front and a small steering wheel don't mix but boy was that car fast and that thing was smoking the tires as far as you wanted to I had slicks on the ass end of it for the summertime and I've got straight tires on Pontiac railways if it was going to rain they were 15x8s all the way around but wasn't nearly as fun as us Mickey Thompson slicks on the ass I drove all the way from Philadelphia to Florida about a hundred miles an hour I got away with it when there was light traffic
Very cool find. The purists are probably having a fit over this custom/lowrider version of the GTO. The Lake pipes, Tru Spoke wheels, 10 in Grant GT wheel, the crystal shifter and knobs are pretty wild. But, those frenched antennas are truly unique. Never seen ones quite like that. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool find.. Thanks for sharing. Is made cooler by the fact the original steering wheel is at least in trunk. These cars were popular in late 80s into 90s with younger guys that could get them for 4-6k then pimp them out like you see here. This has got a LA gangster look to it.. the steering is way small so a dude could drive with cuffs on his wrists, ( make believe though) the nobs are pure bling type fashion.. pipes are called 'Lake' pipes. Antennas for radio are frenched style. Performance heads, wonder what the deal was with engine- was the carb acting up or was an upgrade in progress? These had nylon timing gears that were known to loose teeth after 70k so maybe there's actually a timing issue... 🤷♂️ I Would be curios what the deal is there. Anyway, it's a cool time capsule.
When a speedo rolls over the numbers go uneven, so yeah its over 100k. My first car was a Tempest, 326, AT, I was 15, got it inspected on my 16th birthday in 1987. Hit a pole on ice, bent the rear quarter in bad. Sold it. It was a really nice car.
had one of these back in the day. Mine was 400 with an auto trans that would catch 2nd gear if you laid into it. Of course the stock bias ply tires were rather wimpy so you would just sit still if you punched it from a dead stop. Just too much wheel spin and not enough tire for the 335 HP.
That way of covering it will kill it. You need a cover that can breathe. That tarp will trap water and speed up the rusting process. No cover is better than that setup.
Thank you for sharing this GTO I liked it minus the side pipes and a little steering wheel I loved Mickey Thompson valve covers my dad had Mickey Thompson valve covers aluminum polished aluminum level 70 GTO with a 455. Photos people don't know Mickey Thompson was the founders of the drag racing tree like for the lights at the drag strip red orange green gold I was watching a story about him one day and he was also insole mysteries with somebody murdered him rest in peace Mickey Thompson I love you too and people like drag racing or any type of race that they should watch Mickey Thompson it sucks it was killed him and his wife in their own driveway
Okay one more comment the tree spokes was a brand of rims. But I don't understand the steel disc behind it with the cut outs. Unless they were to protect rims from brake dust but that car should have drums all the way around. The pipes on the side probably had cutouts. Perfectly legal until you go to race and you open the cutouts uncapped the pipes and you got straight pipes. A little bit more horsepower. The other thing that goes way back before me but sometime we run a little rich and you pass spark plug or some kind of ignitive they shoot flames out of those pipes. And that is cool. It's real easy to do I did not see on those pipes unless it's underneath. Just put a nut or something where you can screw a spark plug in it and run a hot wire to it but kill switch and hit the switch whenever you want. Step in it let out quickly and step into it again you'll get the flames. It's great to see people whose parents wasn't even around probably when that car was new. Somebody your age to carry on the love of these cars.
Buddy of mine had a 67 Goat. It too had the stupid small after market steering wheel. He got it that way and replaced it. He said it made dangerous to drive.
The Holy Grail of Myscle cars. A great car to restore and bring back to its former glory. It had some Wacky stuff done but we all have our own tastes and style.
Beautiful. 67 GTO. Always loved the 67. GTO. Liv your quite the drag racer. Good time. Good speed. Your a natural. At it . Your tempest is one badass car. . keep up the great work. . Love ya videos. . .❤❤❤
Liz the 67 Pontiac GTO is my all-time "dream car". Totally restored to factory OEM, 400, manual 4 speed. Great video.
I have one all matching numbers, and got order with ram air 4speed, getting ready to sell, 25000 or best offer, only rust is on trunk lid( size of a nickel
Great to see younger generations enthusiastic about American iron !
Rare car if number on it

Mine sat for 40 years and looked like that then fell apart in a year. Thats what i get for not praying.
I was 13 when that car hit the streets. I thought it was gorgeous then and I still do. There is something powerful yet elegant about that body style that makes it timeless. Well done Pontiac.

true spokes were top of the line in the day, what a find/gods shining on you two
This car needs to be saved for sure!!!!
Nice find. I bought my 67 GTO new, factory ordered. Lots of options. Kept it 43 years. Still miss it.
One of the coolest things I have seen in a while.
My dream car is a 1970 Monte Carlo SS
By the look of the inside for wear and the fact the gas brake and clutch pedals still look new, great find, bring her back to life!!!!!
670 are the hi performance heads on the front passenger side of block next to timing cover their is stamped into it the suffix code and vin # to decode the engine. There's also the casting number to the left of distributor on the engine block.
Thank you!
I still have my 1967 Lemans that I bought in California, from the original owner back in1987.
In the 70s these were just used gas guzzlers. The period-authentic mods make sense and are kinda charming in a way. No one thought they were defiling a sacred artifact by modding some old Pontiac back then.
Really good video Liv. Nice car. You should be 1st on his list. When they are ready to sell it. Keep it ROLLING babe!!🤘🤘🤘👍👍

Great find, can’t wait to see more content on this car 👍
Glad y'all are back! Very cool GTO to trade for the Tempest. Makes you wonder what wrong with motor.
Frenched Antenna’s , Lake pipes, shaved door handles. We call that a mild custom !! All those things started in the 50’s. Kind of rare on a late sixties ride, but some habits die hard. 😎
Frenched antennas… was wondering what that modification was called. Thanks, Kevin! 😊
Cradletothegrave67 , don't forget the Tru-Spoke wires , those are definitely custom , not performance !

I get ya funny 🤣 cool whip no doubt though!
I had a 1968 GTO back in the day. I miss those old muscle cars.
My dad had one the same color but with a 389 tri -power . Loved that car ❤
If the under dash 8-Track is labeled Delco, it was probably factory, or at least dealer installed. Very nice find indeed! Some one spent some serious money, even back then with those modifications. Thanks for sharing this.
I can't imagine what he invested in those "crystal" knobs. The mind boggles.
That's a gorgeous car a time capsule i love your Chanel your timpanist is a nice car to keep on keeping on
It's great that younger people are learning these muscle cars.
I restored several muscle cars one being a 1965 Pontiac GTO 389 three carburators. Just stock the car was phenomenal.
Super cool love the 67 GTO
My brother had three of these, two red and a gray one. All three had four speeds.. I love those goats

That’s beautiful example of a custom should be restored just the way it is.

Bet you wish it was still yours!
That needs to be brought back to life as is! Bad Ass!
I had a 67 goat. Mine was gold with a black vinal top. I bought it without a motor or trans and put a 396 chevy in it. Interior brings back memories.
Man I love that car.so cool.cool find
Nice looking East L.A.
Gee-Tea-Ohh …. I put one of those little steering wheels on a 55 Chev Coupe and since it had no P/Steering I almost sliced one of my fingers on a quick turn …
Only thing needed on this is Suicide Knob on that wheel …. That is a real nice GTO … thanks 😊 4 the video
Looks like a ride Cheech Marin would be cruising the streets of East L.A. back in the day. _"“Hey watch out! Comin over! Geronimo!”_ Lol.
Lakewoods, Truespokes, Frenched antenna, shaved door handles & poppers, trick steering wheel, custom knobs, M/T valve covers, Craig 8-track, chromed vent valance. Cant beat that Pontiac 400!
🎼door handles are off
But you know I don't miss em
They open when I want
With a solenoid system🎶
That's a true 60s period correct modification !
people would rather see classics rot away than sell it to anyone to get restored..if u don't believe me find some classic cars rotting away and asked to buy them..most will say no i'm gonna fix them one day lol
I think you're wrong! The guy is probably sick of cheapskates offering 10K for a car like this. Money talks.
I'm 65 and I'm ready to sell my 72 Cheyenne super, 350/350auto lwb!!!
@4:15 670 casted on the two exhaust ports. I bought a set of those back in the mid 90's. I'm pretty sure they were 1967 only small chamber 400 head.
yep 670 Heads even
Wow what a find!
Very solid car I was hoping that you bought a life long friend that I worked for at one point in my life had a 67 convertible it started out with a Pontiac motor but then had a tunnel rammed big block 427 in it. It was a show car it was in the world of wheels twice.
Vice nice! And the goat looks ok also lol
My dad had that same 8 track in his truck in the 70s early 80s. If you look at it, it takes one of those barrel keys to lock it to the floor.
One look at the engine and you know 6k miles is bogus. Maybe 106k.
Not bogus. Still actual. Maybe 206k.
Yes could be, but most likely 106,000 MI. Mainly because the speedo is not that jumbled up.
Yeah, but who the hell cares it's a cool car!!
Its a 5 digit odom so its most likely 106k or more.
6k is correct
I used to have 670 heads like in this car and those heads are very close chamber with big valves, anything from 66 to 69 cc's. Cool car ....
Not for sale going to sit and rot. This car could easily be brought back to its original shape. Thanks for sharing.
I know where 3 of those are parked. The guy didn't get rid of ANYTHING. He passed a while back. I bought a 96 Chevy short wide bed with a big block, with 411 gears. Awesome truk
and yes thats factory the ribs on the drums good video ty
There called finned drums not ribs
@@joebarber4030 i know what they are didnt ask for correcting i just said rib
My very first car way back in 1980 was a 67 Tempest with a 326. Would love to find one today, but these cars are selling for way too much now.

The taillights tell the difference between 66 and 67. That was my dream car before my 16th birthday.

Two letters to left of water pump should be WT or WS. Awesome motor!
That steering wheel allows you to drive with handcuffs. 👮♂️
WOW , wot a beauty . You gotta try an buy it, it's so cool👍😁🇦🇺
Good find
Dream car. Holy crap!
The Craig 8 track deck is pretty cool! Back in 76 or 77 I bought a Craig 8 track deck like that with 2 speakers for the rear deck of my 67 RS Camaro for the princely sum of $39 plus tax! I put that back to factory love the color the motor is a 400 4 barrel quadrajet Muncie 4 speed m21

Glad i got my 66 gto when i did, it seems now alot of them are being done on TH-cam.
Back in the day these were a common sight on the highway, we spent our money on gas, beer and good smoke. ✌
That tire was made on the 37th week of 2019, i could see the dot number at 13:52.
You made me recall walking into the dealership and asking the salesman how much it would cost me to drive out with a new 1967 GTO. $3,600.
Very cool mild custom low rider

Shame it's not for sale! Mariner turquoise! My first Poncho was a Mariner turquoise 67 Firebird 400. Coolest colour ever on 67 Pontiacs.
I owned 1967 GTO mine was also Turquoise color. My car was stolen found stripped and smashed up. Miss it!
At least, put it under a carport if it can't be in a garage. That cover will rot it out quick. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice.
cool car back to original for me
GTO. ( gas, tires & oil ) yup ! that’s what you spent your money on, back in the day.
There are production dates on tires, you just need to look up how to decode them from the numbers on them.
With cars of that era, it's common that when the speedo goes over 100,000 miles and numbers are jumbled up. I mean crooked not no longer in line.
Buddy of mine had a 67 Goat. It too had the stupid small after market steering wheel. He got it that way and replaced it. He said it made dangerous to drive.
no emblem in 67 on the fender...only on the lowwr rocker moulding. 66 ess 1/2 way up the fender.
The Holy Grail of Myscle cars. A great car to restore and bring back to its former glory. It had some Wacky stuff done but we all have our own tastes and style.
The small steering wheel allows the car to be driven while wearing handcuffs
