You were correct initially 1st one : is Broca's aphasia but can be anterior transcortical aphasia, as we have not assessed repetition here 2nd one : wernicke's aphasia coz voluminous but uninformative n fluent Cant be conduction coz we haven't assessed repetition
@@dr.jobanmedschool6269 doxab can you explain with an example 'repetition'? Because I thought that the patient was repeating about the boat description in scenario 2, therefore I said conductive aphasia.
Repetition is assessed by asking to repeat worda like no, ifs, ands, buts or idhar-udhar, yhan-vhan and then assessed dat how well he is with it...in both of the above scenarios pt. Is speaking spontaneously ...we have not asked anything so basically only spontaneous speech ia being assessed.that is fluency is the main clue ...thats why i have also mentioned elapsed time duration....
