I subbed to your channel, right after I did the deed. This is a Milestone Watch as I cross into my fifties and plan on passing it on to my son. Thank you.
You are correct, i was thinking the same thing. A 116509LN ghost, or 116519LN, or 126509/519LN variants in WG would be closer to a steel look from across the room at least. YG Daytonas look like pimp watches to me. Now, I may go for a RG with chocolate dial, but I would never buy a YG sports/Tool watch. But, to each their own.
He explained the point. It sells for an average of 20-30 grand over retail if you don't wear it. It's basically like being given free money. Rolex don't want people to do this, which is why they want clients to build a spend history first. However, not everyone wants a watch just to admire for its aesthetics or to tell the time.
@@OngoGablogian185 Fun fact, gold has gone from $400 per ounce to $2966. $148,300 made from investing $20K in gold 20 years ago. That GMT you purchase 20 years ago, how much is that worth now? 🫢 Yeah, you go invest in watches. I can’t buy a watch from Rolex, as a watch manufacturer they don’t like to provide watches to the general public. I’ll keep investing in gold. You all can keep flipping.
Just picked this up new from my AD about 6 weeks ago. Blows my 116500ln Panda out of the water.
Panda for the Office, Pauline for the Weekend.
Wow what a beautiful watch!!!
Very educational!!!
Problem with long term Rolex is Rolex is building out 2 new billion dollar factories to out put more watches which will bring down the prices
Prob bring down the price of a datejust lol
Yo homie! You missed a key detail i was certain you were going to cover…. Newest version has no red seconds hand!

That is awesome!
😎
how is this 116518LN (yellow gold) related to the Paul Newman Daytonas (steel) of the 1960s? they look very different to me
The video was not only about this watch but the history of the Daytona Paul Newmans

@@chipmacgill ……do you really have to judge??
@@Jackzzzzzzzz it’s an observation. Not a judgment. But they are “sports” tool watches.
Very well said about this masterpiece 😊 👏
Thank You!!
17M!!!!!! Wow
What is the point of purchasing a watch and never wearing it. Absolutely not what the point of having a watch is all about.
Yep. Newman wore the heck out of his.
