The reality is that the Rolex AD's are still playing their Pandemic Games long after the pandemic has ended. AD's saying they are supposedly not selling to flippers has not made a difference. You would think that with Rolex increasing its production at 2 temporary plants in 2024, the Russian market closed due to the Ukraine War and demand in China ebbing, that Rolex would produce more for the US & European markets. However, Rolex showcases in the US are still empty. In short, I have not visited my local AD for months, and have no planned visits for 2024.
Finally, cracking down on watch flipping! It's about time Rolex took action against unauthorized resellers.
This decision by Rolex is a game-changer for genuine watch lovers. It levels the playing field and ensures that timepieces are cherished for their craftsmanship not just their resale value.
Rolex's purchase of bucherer and the additional output has definitely made an effect. I've seen PM models available and sitting at airport ADs. Never going to buy grey, I suspect by 2025 spring the "pandemic demand" will have completely settled.
Fascinating insights into Rolex dealer discounts! This video sheds light on a lesser-known aspect of the luxury watch industry. Worth watching for any watch enthusiast looking to make an informed purchase.
It's very interesting to see this video because it not only discusses the product, its price and its brand, but also how the product came to be.
Rolex Authorized Dealers implementing measures to curb watch flipping could significantly impact the practice. By restricting sales to genuine customers rather than resellers, they aim to maintain brand integrity and ensure watches are enjoyed by true enthusiasts rather than being treated purely as investment commodities. This move may alleviate some of the inflated prices and make Rolex watches more accessible to genuine collectors.
All of these Rolex watches that are being flipped came from somewhere.
That somewhere was and still is the Authorized Dealers.
Instead of getting $10 grand the right way they sell the watch out the back door for 12 to a gray market seller who sells it for $15,000.
That is where the watches come from.
Now all of a sudden those ADs are just going to stop hustling a couple of grand per watch on the side?
Rolex might increase their monitoring of the ADs but they cant stop it all. There will still be gray market watches slipping out the back doors.
Remember,,, it is the ADs who started the back door deals.
Greed wins.
This video is highly interesting to watch because it not only talks about the product, its brand, price, and specifications, but also how it was created.
I never could understand buying a used product for over with an authorized dealer sells it for is just mind-boggling and with the Rolexes the way they are I just couldn’t understand it. I mean I own a Rolex. I’ve had mine before the hype. I’ve got a Daytona Daytona. I’ve had a thing since 2002. I got it then and when I got it down, they were hard to get but really wanted them to go on the waiting list and by the week or two that year A.D. would call you up and say it’s in and then you go in there and you pull out the American Express card and buy it and walk out the doorI thought about selling during the hype of 2020 but I really like the watch well I bought it two days after my daughter was born so it’s kind of got sentimental value
Very helpful insights.. But I believe you probably misspoke when you said that during the pandemic banks kept interest rates low. I was thinking you meant banks lent money with low rates because they were borrowing money at zero percent interest from the federal reserve.. That along with insane federal spending created the 8.5% inflation that started the watch price bubble burst 💥

All you guys are dreaming if you think what he's saying in this video will make the AD experience any better. What he's saying doesn't mean sh*t cause you're still not going to get any highly sought after pieces in 2024 or even 2025.

At last, putting a stop to watch flipping! Rolex ought to have taken action against unlicensed distributors long ago.
educational video It's fantastic to see actions being taken by Rolex dealers to preserve uniqueness.
This a great decision to stop flipping of Rolex watch. this is long overdue. Thanks for sharing this information
Very welcome
The problem is, people pay more than MSRP. Why would you pay more than what Rolex says it's worth?
Because that's how markets work. There are a lot of things that go for higher prices in different markets because the market sets true worth. if you're willing to pay $5,000 over retail for a Daytona, and so are a lot of other people, then the "worth" Rolex assigns isn't its true worth. True worth is set by whatever the market decides.
@@JoshH1982 then why wouldnt Rolex raise the price of the Daytona from $16k to $30k? The "market" calls for it, right? It's because AD's limit availability and cause fake scarcity. They sell to grey market dealers and split profits. Rolex makes plenty of watches for those who would want one could get one at MSRP
rolex is a beautiful watch, beautiful video thanks for sharing
This is quite a means to end some shady market business, this might be good in the long run
Amazing video and great content sir❤❤🎉

Wow that's awesome video I'm really like the video thinks for uploading it ❤
ADs demanding that you spend USD100K to build relationship with them is a joke 😂. But the good thing for non ROLEX brands buyers is that these flippers will dump these brands at up to 50% discount off RRP. ❤
Excellent video content really deserve to be highly appreciated.
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing insights.Rolex is just an amazing brand.

Great video just like the others!
Wow that's awesome video thinks it's a good thing to have a very blessed video thinks it's ❤
Sorry but I hope the second hand market or flipping takes a major nose dive. I would prefer that only those who really want, say a Rolex bothered to buy one. The type of person who would pass it on to their children. Money is only fleeting a family heirloom is for generations. It is a pity that people do not understand this concept these days.
Rolex is yhe best for now i love to watch the flipping
Good
Bots making comments, sad
Brakes activated
Rolex Authorized Dealers' stand against watch flipping is commendable. Ensuring genuine enthusiasts access coveted models fosters a stronger watch community. Kudos to Rolex for this bold move.
Utter nonsense. "Coveted models" aren't being allocated to "genuine enthusiasts" by ADs. They've being allocated to people who go in and spend upwards of $100,000 or more in jewelry at the AD's store. Boutiques are slightly better, but to get even a GMT or Explorer II you often have to go buy a Datejust or OP just to "earn" the right to be put on a list for a better model. "Genuine enthusiasts" are buying from the secondary market at sometimes exorbitant prices because of Rolex and how their ADs and Boutique's operate; and it allows them to cut out the bullshit requirement to buy unwanted models or jewelry just to get a watch you like.
If ever a voice didn't match the dialogue...
Even more unobtainable Rolex watches. What's the use ot this video? What's the use of this brand?
Is the only brand's goal bribing customers into buying other watches and jewels to get bumped up on the never ending waiting list?
These videos are just clickbait. No new information and being produced for no reason other than to create a new video.
Flippers are Dead☠️💀
What a nonsense
