Nah it just saves redoing all of jungle again, it's faster in speedruns. To get it normally you need to finish the game to get the button and when you replay the level you keep all your weapons and you use the button to open the door. @@macinnisss You mostly just squeeze in the any% strats where you can. Most of the tricks just carry over, the main pain was routing all of the coins lol. Most of the tricks were found in the speedrunning discord, there's a link on the speedrun.com page if ya interested.
So far I've just booted up the DK reference bonus Level on GameCube swiss and I'm getting death for no reason glitches as I'm progressing to get to the top which is really annoying! How do I fix this? No joke this happened when I didn't touch a dang thing... *Gets a no reason death glitch* I DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING LIKE WHAT THE F!?

You're supposed to go round to get it, but this way you skip the whole minecart ride section. It's not too bad since you can buffer the jump to stop sliding and you've just got to line up the camera to face forwards. Here's the old/intended route for it. th-cam.com/video/6YCjCib0LFY/w-d-xo.html
Unfortunately to collect all the tokens you need to replay the levels once you've got feathers McGraw's remote.
Only jungle and ice though so it's not too bad, especially since you can get the jungle one early and you unlock the remote right after ice.

On certain versions of the game on gamecube the barrels are invisible but can still damage you making it nearly impossible.
