- Our first ride on It's A Small World at Disneyland Paris went very smoothly.... for 4 minutes.
First the music stopped (which maybe some people weren't too unhappy about) and then, after floating in silence, we suddenly stopped.
After a few minutes, our rescuers arrived in waders to push us all the way back to an evacuation point.
The Cast Members at Disneyland Paris were fantastic and kept everyone calm during this evac process.

I've watched a few of the evacuation videos and am always surprised at how far people have to walk to get back into the park. Seems like you'd just have to walk around to the other side of the building.
I did not skip...I was enjoying the ride. Loved the Genie from the lamp. One good thing, unlike Florida, you didn't have to look for alligators in the underbrush in the treed areas.

This happened on the second time that I went on this ride. It was kinda scary because electricity and water don’t mix well together very well.
I think the silent characters scared me more 😁

I was at Magic Kingdom and there was a boat pile up.
I know what you mean, sometimes, I always wondering about the conveyor belt in the loading area. Because that mechanic thing lays underwater and you can see the cables from that thing.

With the number of boats moving in reverse and the ease with which the cast was moving them, makes me wonder if this iasw version is able to reverse the flumes flow.
I think not, it go "easy" because they turn off all the water pumps and just pushing by everyone. Standing in water with pumps on is very dangerous!!!
So I have a weird hatred for the hippo… so when the warning started as they passed the hippo I blamed it and went: It’s the hippo!
Dang they didn’t give you anything? The folks who broke down on California Screaming got a bunch of cast members cheering them at the bottom, water bottles, dinner vouchers and Free park hopper tickets for their next visit…There’s a difference but maybe just even a fastpass for another ride would have been fine…instead just an awkward silence and follow me lol
Yeah, shame we didn't get a fastpass (or whatever it's called now) - but it has given me one of my most viewed videos on the channel 😁
Well, in all honesty, in DLP we don't spontaneously hand readmission tickets (fastpasses don't exist anymore) after an evacuation, guests have to directly go ask a cast to have one. At least that's how it's done when the park is busy !
Yet it's surprising to see that they let you film the backstage !

I pray there is never a serious emergency where they would need to evacuate quickly, it seems like a long procedure to evacuate the ride
There was once a disabled person who sued because of how long they were stuck on the ride without being evacuated. Iirc they had some sort of medical emergency during the long wait. It was ridiculous
when I was on it last time I can remember, it was working fine with no breakdowns

What camera do you film with? Picture quality is really good. Great video, evacuations can be fun but boy do they make you walk a long way to get back inside the park.
Thanks Brandon. I just used my phone (Galaxy S20 Ultra). I think the lighting on this ride makes all footage look good. Surprised no-one told me to stop filming.

maybe the first boat stopped moving, or maybe the boat in front of all the other boats stopped moving
No, the 'first' boat stopped because the "flipper" activated, they do if they have to evacuate it. After, they turn off all the water pumps for pushing the boats back to the closet emergency exit.
