bro i spent 4 years with a stock 2002 Toyota Rav4 4WD. No lift, suspension was trash, slapped on some Cooper AT3 4S tires. It was amazing! Like driving a go-kart around in the desert. Took me so many places I would not have gone otherwise. I've been on so many trails where the "Jeep bro" dudes were looking at me like i was insane. Got around just fine. Of course I knew my limits, but the again... you don't need much to get far away from the crowds. Also, roof top tent just never made sense to me. Added wait, MPG, etc etc. BUT whatever works for you right? I love ground tents and packing light. ALL THAT BEING SAID!! ... I just bought an FJ because they're awesome and I just wanted more power but didn't want to go down the Taco or Jeep road like everyone else. Happy to be a part of the community now and dope rig! Clean and simple.
I need to hit some more southern spots but the North Maine Woods has the most amount of area to freely roam on the east coast. It is extremely underrated, I love it there!

Make sure you also add 37s as well. It’s a huge must!

Ok, So Step one, find a buddy with a diesel Jeep. Step two: Aspire to his level of perfection. Step 3: Overland.
What are your favorite places to go on the east coast? I live in south East PA and im looking for some good destinations.
