    Soooo beautiful!! Love these! Thank you for the tutorial! very interested in trying your methods and am accumulating the supplies. curious as to why you did a 2nd top coat and did you use the free pour method instead of putting them back in the mold? Also, regarding the resin, why the preference of low viscosity vs medium viscosity? Sorry for the newbie questions and Thank you!!

    • @LiaDiaDesigns
      @LiaDiaDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you🥰 recently I've been adding a 2nd topcoat which gives the coaster a bit of a domed effect...I just like it a little better, but it's not necessary... I do the 2nd coat after the coaster is removed from the mold. I use both medium and thin... medium for all resin techniques like flowers... for these mixed medium pieces, I like to use thin because there's less issues with bubbles... the thicker resins can be a bit more finicky with bubbles.

      I use varnish because it allows me to take my time with my designs....my resin starts to set and cure within 20 minutes, and I prefer not to rush, plus i don't need to wear my respirator mask when I'm using the varnish . If you have a slower curing resin, you can definitely use that instead. Your choice. I have another video of outliner alternatives, I'll link it in another comment below
